Well when I shot IDPA competition we were not trying to beat any person but rather beat the clock with hits. Time and hits is what we competed against, not a person. Yes the shooter scores reflected the shooter times and hits but we competed against ourselves to improve our time and hits. The whole purpose was for us personally to get better, not trying to beat a person. Whether that was combat pistol, bowling pin pistol, combat shotgun, trap shotgun, rifle or any event at a match. Now I just try to improve with my conceal carry pistol in time and hits because more than likely that is the gun that is going to count more than any other.

I have the UL 856 snub and it’s crazy accurate for me with rem 158gr FMJ. We have skeleton paper targets and I sent it out as far as it would go. When smoke cleared I had the neck both clavicles both sides of the sternum and one miss. Has a good rhythm and punch.

Lights Out Yeah. I have a 856 Defender three inch I like a lot and a lot more than my autoloaders. I want to get to the point that it will replace my SIG P365 if I can get away with concealing it. If I can't then I stick with the 365 more than likely. Its just that my sub compacts and even the small J frame of the 856 are bigger than the micro 365. Its hard to hide guns on my small body frame.

Nice video. How did you like the Taurus GX4 in competition versus say a P365? I bought the Gx4 a few months ago and it is my EDC and I have never had a misfire, FTF, or FTE on it... Watching other you tubers there is an outlaw... and any Taurus he reviews they all jam on his videos... I own kimbers, Rugers, Sigs, Colts, S&W's, and Taurus and always maintain them and only my Rugers jam on steel case ammo if it is the lacquered variety after 100+ rounds... gets sticky. Just wanted to get your thoughts and how it performed in competition. Thanks.

Thanks for watching! The GX4 has been very solid for me all around. I have had no real malfunctions with it at all, and I've run thousands of rounds through it at this point of many different brands. (I never run steel case 9mm, though.) I won the compact carry class in both of the IDPA matches I shot, but I don't think anyone had a p365. I am not a Sig fan AT ALL, and so I can't say much about direct comparisons to that gun. That said, I have 2 earlier videos comparing the GX4 directly to the Glock 43, G3c, LCP Max, and LCP 2. Someone with a 3 to 4 hundred dollar gun with another 3 to 4 hundred dollars worth of ammo through the pistol will always do better than the 6 to 8 hundred dollar gun that they haven't shot as much. Good used pistols are also a good option. It is good to see others preaching about training instead of price point. I've been wanting to do IDPA in the J frame revolver class

Revolvers in IDPA would be a tough row to hoe around here. They kinda score classes, but my local club is really a winner takes all type of thing where everyone is basically trying for the overall score.
