Hi Everyone, sorry this video's a bit late (well for those of you who notice I usually upload on a Friday). This is the second of the two soaps I wanted to remake because I made the originals before my KZbin channel started. I hope you enjoy it. Please leave any comments or questions below.

I absolutely love this design, in fact I love all your soaps and have been looking at your website for ideas and inspiration, I'm very new to all this as I started with melt and pour 6 months ago and cold process a few weeks ago. I love your videos and find them so helpful and informative. Can you let me know where you recommend for buying fragrance oils from I'm in the UK same as you. I am about to test the ones I have as suggested by your video. Thanks 😊

Thanks a lot Julie, my batter will stay fluid for a good while (45 mins) if it's just the batter, but I also get very organised up front so that I'm not mucking around. I always knew I wanted a batter that would suit what I needed and one that I can use for everything, so I took a good while getting it right for me and understanding exactly how it behaves.

Hey Linda, nice to see you, thank you so much. I get my pipes from a local DIY store in the plumbing section, they are water pipes, they come in great long lengths but are pretty cheap, I then just chop them to the size I want

Hi Lisa! As always, amazing design and end result! Thank you so much for sharing your spreadsheet:) I have a question, do you use sodium lactate? I made my 3 rd soap and it was at 80 fah. Before I put any color or fragrance oil, it got thicker pretty quick.. could it be due to the sodium lactate or my temperature?
@IDreamInSoap4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ilayda thank you so much. Yes I do use sodium lactate in all my soaps and I never finds it accelerates trace. Your temperature sounds good too. The most likely issues (as you hadn't added colour or fragrance) would be your recipe, have a look at your ratio to saturated:unsaturated fats, you can see thin in your lye calculator. Aim for around 40:60, my recipe is actually 41:59 Otherwise you may be blending too much, are you happy you can spot emulsion? (if not, have a look at my video on trace etc if you haven't seen it kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZC5dIyfedKCgNU) If you are taking your batter to trace you are likely to be blending too much. Best wishes. @IDreamInSoap4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Charmain, yes soap is amazing isn't it? I just get my pipes from a lock DIY center in the plumbing section. They are long (often 2 or 3 meters) but reasonably cheap, a long pipe can be about £6 here, then I chop them up (you can get plenty out of a big long pipe)
@handeedandeescrapper4 жыл бұрын
I just remembered something I saw in your video that I have been meaning to ask you. You always wear long sleeves but today your arm reached really far and I could see your sleeve. It looked like something you just pull up over your arm. Did I see that right? Just curious because I am not a fan of heat so I can not soap in a room that is 70 to 80 degrees and wear a long sleeve shirt but maybe something to pull over my arms for a short period of time just might work! And I totally understand about good busy because I have been doing the same here. But I hope after this week I can get with you about making some scrappers. Really love your website. It is looking awesome!

Ooh yes my soaping sleeves, they are great. I normally wear a chef's jacked to soap in, but as you say it's too hot, but I don't like the idea of bare arms and also don't really want to convey that it's OK oin my videos. Hey Jeannette. I've replied to your email. I have added a pre-order facility in the shop now, I think you sadly just missed out on the last one I had in stock.

Bonjour, vous éteignez le four dès phase gel atteinte. C'est bien cela? Quelle est votre méthode pour que votre savon pèse le poids choisi svp. Merci pour ces merveilles. Vraiment, vous etes très talentueuse.

Firstly just want to say I really love your videos. Thank you for sharing. I have the same stick blender as you but notice yours have holes in the top. Did you do this yourself? Is it to help with less bubbles? It’s something that happens to my batter despite always slightly lifting it before I blend to get rid of any air.
@IDreamInSoap4 жыл бұрын
Hey Rachel, ooh yes very observant. Yes I did drill the holes myself, I did that so the air can easily escape when you burp your stick blender. I think it works, as I get very few bubbles in my soap

Thanks so much - I am going to get my other half to do this for me! :)

Your soaps are amazing! Any chance that you ship them to Switzerland? :-)

Thank you so much, yes I ship world wide

@@IDreamInSoap Unfortunately, the shop tells me that shipping to Switzerland doesn't work. I tried to check out.

The tool you used to clean the soap where did you get it from
@IDreamInSoap4 жыл бұрын
Do you mean my acrylic planer, if so I got it from an Etsy shop called custom soap stamps

Hi there, I am new to soapmaking and am having a huge challenge doing my own soap. I have tried some recipes but my soap ends up crumpy. I need help. Please.
@IDreamInSoap4 жыл бұрын
Hi Wisdom, hmm it's very difficult just to give advice without really knowing the problem. Crumbly soap is often a case of it being lye heavy (which is dangerous), make sure you are using a recipe from someone you trust and always run it through a lye calculator before you use it.

Can your extrusion disks be used with raw polymer clay? If they can then you have a new and huge market!
@IDreamInSoap4 жыл бұрын
Hmm, I really don't know, but I couldn't see why not, Ive never used it though but the discs are really sturdy, bot sure how much stiffer polymer clay is than soap dough
@mary-ruthflores41074 жыл бұрын
It is stiffer but I think they may be thick enough to work. I’ll talk to the plastic store and see if they have a sample of the plastic that I can play with. I’ll let you know

What size is the mould you are using?
@IDreamInSoap4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lily. This is a mold I made myself, it's 21cm x 18cm
@redrooster7371 Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for this video and the for the spreadsheet! For my last mold I calculated everything "on foot" but your nifty little helper will make this so much easier. I think it is important if you make soap to know what you're doing and to be able to calculate stuff yourself, but once you've proven you can do that, you're allowed a little help, right? ;) BTW, I have never watched any of your videos with German titles before because I was afraid the videos themselves would be in butchered German (like the title and description) but alas, instead I heard your lovely British accent. So I just wanted to let you know that the machine translation really doesn't do your well-made videos justice. I think you're better off without it. :)

I'm so pleased it was helpful and yes I completely agree that its very important to be able to do things yourself. Thank you so much for the comment on the subtitles that's such useful information - sorry this reply is so late

Hey, I noticed you ask for viewers to like your video which is quite alright but you actually seem to have your rating disabled.
@IDreamInSoap4 жыл бұрын
HI, I don't have the rating disabled, the thumbs up / down still work as they do on every video. I just don't have the setting to publicly show the amount of thumbs up or down, no real reason, just a personal choice.
