Thanks for the video. Please, my electric hotplate is smoking from under and a grease like substance coming out from under the plate. I've had it for over ten years but have been using only the gas comers ever since. I decided to use it for the first time last week. Scared by the smoke, I turned it off. What could be the problem? Please, I'd appreciate any help you could offer. Thanks.

Short circuit happens due the RCD main switch cutoff tolerance is low in my property. There is a way to adjust it, but I don't have access to it
