Overall, it is clear that the centre of the town of Islip will be expanded northward towards the countryside to give way to a bus station,a car park,a larger shopping center and a new residential area.A dual Carriageway will go round the town and the main road running through the town will become the only pedestrian.

The two maps depicts the current Islip town center and the proposed development. Currently, Islip town center consist of shops which can be located at the south of country side, where the main road is located inbetween. The housing is found at the middle of school and park. It is clear that the proposed plan is the construction of a dual carriageway that encirles the town center. Shops that are located at the North side will make way for bus station, shopping centers, car park and the allocation of new housing. Meanwhile, the main road will be for pedestrians only in the plan. Park will be reconstructed where new housing will be located east of old houses.

Overall it is clear that the plan is to create extra space for more housing units with the idea to turn the center into a residential villa with easy access to the station and supermarket. The current plan shows a road running across the town center flanked by shops on either side. To the south side of the shops are housing units with a school to the left of the units and a car park to its right Regarding the future plan, it is expected that the housing units, school, and car park from the original site will remain. The most significant development is a dual carriage road which will run around the town center including the addition of a bus station, shopping center, car park, and new housing units which will take up the area previously occupied by shops. The park will be resized to allow for more housing units.

Generally, planned to surround the centre is a dual carriageway which is expected to facilitate traffic when new residential infrastructures are in operation at the expense of a row of shops and nearby rural area.

The two maps depict the current state and the proposed rebuilding plan of Islip city centre. Overall, it is obvious that the main emphasis of the exercise is to extend the town into the nearby countryside, to modernise it into an estate, and to expand its road into a dual carriage that will surround the city for easy movement. Currently, the town comprises a main road running east to west, branching off at both ends towards the south. A row of shops is seen clustering on each side of the road. Towards the north, is a village whereas in the southern part, is a school, a park, and a pair of housing units. In the future, the main road will be reduced to a walkway while a double carriage way will be constructed at the periphery of the city with the exits maintained at the east and west directions. The northern shop cluster row will be demolished to give way for the construction of a bus station, a shopping centre, and a car park. More houses will be built on each of the city to compliment the existing ones. The school and the park will maintain their original position although the size of the later will be reduced.

Two maps demonstrate the current state and future development plans for town centre of Islip. Overall, these changes have added areas and more housing and some expansion of the roads with more features for pedestrians. Currently the town centre has a main road (which is accompanied with two large stores), two housing area, a school and an area for a medium sized park. As for the final state of Islip town that have been shown on the second map there are some clear visuals that describes the extended sections as well as demolished ones. The most noticeable change is the road splitting into two separate ways that covers the centre town from west to east. The previous location of the main road would be taken by an area for pedestrian's only. The north shopping place would be replaced by 4 different sections: a bus station, one shopping centre, parking space and the remaining would be used for new housing. Also there would be another new housing in the south which is in cornered by the new carriageway. With the new dual carriageway the park would reduce it's size due to lack of space.

Overall, the town centre is going to be bigger with more varieties of buildings such as new housings, car park, shopping centre at the expense of its countryside and its shops located on the north of the current main road. There is a new dual carriageway circular road encircling the town centre while the current main road is becoming a pedestrian-only road. Currently, the town centre has one main road with shops on the north and south sides. To the north side there is also a countryside area. On the south side of the main road, in addition to shops, there are two housing areas, a park and a school. According to the proposed plan, the south side shops to the main road, a school, and two housing areas remain. The main road remains but its function is changed to a pedestrian-only road. To the north of this road, the current shops and countryside are making way to a new housing area, a carpark, a shopping centre and a bus station. In southern side of the town centre, there are a new housing area and a smaller park. The north and south sides of the town centre are now encircled by a dual-carriageway circular road.

Currently, Islip town center only consist of a main-road in between two lines of shop, a park, a school, housing areas on the south and middle as well as the earlier mentioned countryside far north. According to the proposal, only one line of shops, the school and housing area to the south will be preserved. The main road will be remodeled to a pedestrian way leading to the entrance of a new housing area now occupying the space of the demolished line of shops. Also situated in this area will be a new car park, a bus station and a shopping center. To the south, an additional housing scheme will be introduced which will absorb part of the park space. Regardless of the new carriageway built, entry and exit to the town remain at the eastern and western ends, although, there will be a slight shift downwards towards the south. This is to enable usage of a small entry from the eastern part of the carriageway to the new housing scheme northward.

We can see in the plans for the development of the shopping mall that the golf course and the park make way for the expansion. To keep up with the new size of the shopping mall, the car park also gets bigger. To keep up with the new store layout, one more entrance is added.

It is surrounded by the countryside and housing. Presently, the town centre has two shops, which are divided by a main road. One is facing the countryside, whereas the other is facing the town. South of the second shops are the residence's house's, a school and a park. In the new plan, a dual carriageway will surround the town centre, engulfing new houses and services. I would like to contribute my answer. Feel free to scrutinize. The illustration drawing represents a map of the current status and plan for renovation of Southside Shopping Mall. Overall, major changes in plan development are the expansion of supermarkets and the addition of several personal care shops. Additionally, the center of the mall will extend and exclude food stalls and nature areas to make way for the building of a department store and additional shops. In the present day, on the northside of the shopping mall, you can locate the play area, noodle shop, and cinema. And then, in the southeast part, which is the entrance, next are the supermarket and the comfort area, which are mainly on the south side, while the café is on the west side of the entrance. The department store is located to the east of the center mall, while the golf course with green space is further out on the east side of the mall. On the other hand, the renovation plan of the shopping mall will retain the entrance, the supermarket, and the comfort room from their current designation. Car park extension that will accommodate the whole south area and eliminate the fitness center. Building a huge department store with a separate entrance at the expense of nature space on the far east side of the mall. Addition of the shoe store and the fashion store. Replacing the play area, cafe, noodle shop, and cinema into a beauty salon, cosmetics store, and gift shop.

I am sharing my whole piece The 2 maps represent and delineate key features of the ISLIP area(center of a town) both in the present structure and proposed develop. Overall, it's obvious that the proposed development contains more blocked areas and shops instead of the 2 shops across the roads in the present structure. In the new map, furthermore, there are additional roadways and dualisation of the previous carriage ways which encircle the center and the structure therein. Clearly in the present structure, there are two opposite shops across a main road which runs from west to eastern axis, behind these two shops lying the countryside and housing at their north and south pole respectively. Importantly, however, at the end of the west and east carriage ways sitting a school and a park in that order. In contrast, the new plan highlight more congested center area with many shops, additional carpark, new housing just lying across the previously known main road which is being replaced as a bridge in the new plan for people walking. Additionally, theres a circumferential dualisation of the carriage ways, which is occupying the country side space at the north pole and linking the school, park and housing together. Thank you

The given maps depict the current layout of a small town islip and it’s recommended plans for expansion. Generally, it is clear that the arrangement is to reduce the number of shops, main road space and change the route for automobiles to allow for efficient and more organized transport system around the town. Presently, islip has two long rows of shops facing each other and demarcated by the main road. To the East there is a park and southerly multiple houses and the town school. In the proposed design, the shops remain however they are reduced in number to give way for a new bus station, shopping center, car park and new housing up north. The countryside is removed for a part of the dual carriage way, the main road changed to a pedestrian only path and the park is reduced in size to build new houses and construct a dual carriage way that goes round the town. The school also remains the same.

Currently, there’s a golf course and a park which is connected to it to the most southern land; meanwhile, the rest of the land is dedicated to the shopping mall at the top, taking up most of what was left, and a car park, which is below the mall adjacent to a fitness center. In the shopping mall, against the northern wall, a play area, noodle shop, and cinemas are aligned from west to east, whereas the department store, restroom, and supermarket are juxtaposed from east to west on the southern wall with the entrance at the South-West corner facing a café in front of the play area.

The second map shows the planned development of the mall in which, only the supermarket and the toilet facilities remain in the same place. The department store gets bigger and is assigned a separate entrance. The cinemas, food stores and child play area completely disappear from within the mall. Instead, three new fashion stores are added along with two shoe stores, a cosmetics store, gift shop and a beauty salon. At the outside of the mall, the golf course and park make way for the expansion and disappear. The fitness centre is also removed to make way for the expansion of the car park.

The two maps depict the evolution of the town of Newport between 1980 and 2010. Overall, it is clear that over time, the town has become more habitual because of the increasing facilities, including easy access to roads and transportation. In addition, as time passed, fewer trees could be seen on the map. In 1980, the town only consisted of two buildings, including a school and a hospital with huge private parking. It also had a railway station to the east. In 2010, more buildings could be seen, including apartments and a factory on the east side, while on the west, there was a university with a sports ground. The lake and the hospital remained at their places, with a change in the parking area. Also, the school was replaced with a shopping centre. Over time, transportation became more convenient with the addition of more roads and the expansion of the railway station from east to west.

The map here demonstrates, a center of a small town current state and, it proposed plan for its redevelopment. Overall, it’s clear that the roads and the some other space will be expanded , that’s some essentials will be added in the community. Currently, looking at the town center,the south part, they have only housing,schools and a park with no clear directions. According to the propose expansion for the lslip town center, thus it’s planned development, north side on the map shows an inclusion of bus station, car park, and new housings added to the schools and the housing that was already there. Also the main road of lslip town center has been changed to pedestrian only, where the main road is also a dual carriage way road. Below the carriage way, the school and the housing will be maintained.

The maps show the center of a small town called Islip in its present form and proposed changes for its redevelopment . Overall, The proposed plan will add more establishment in the North part of the town center and in the East part there will be a new housing and making a dual carriageway around the town. Currently, Islip Town center only have shops after the countryside, main road in between the shops, housing, school and a park. According to the development plan, only the school, shops after the main road and the park will remain from the original place. The most significant development will be the adding of additional three different establishment in the shopping area before the main road the bus station, car park and new housing where it will overtake most of the space for the shops making shop size smaller. The Main Road will be converted to pedestrians too and a dual carriageway around the town will be added. There will also be a new housing project next to the park in south part of the town.

My take Intro - The two maps show Southside on its present-day layout and the future expansion plan for the mall. overview - Overall, the Southside will expand its spaces, thereby occupying more sales areas for the department store and shops replacing the exterior parks and golf course. The current Southside includes a golf course and park on the right side of the mall. The mall itself has prominent cinemas, a noodle shop, a play area, a cafe shop, department store, restrooms, supermarket, and one entrance-exit door. In front of the mall lies a fitness center and a small car park. The new plan of the Southside mall will overtake the spaces occupied by the golf course and park. Inside, beauty salon, shoe store, cosmetics store, gift shop, and shoe store will be replaced by the play area, noodle shop, and cinemas. The department store will be expanded twice the original size with its own entrance-exit door. The former cafe shop will be replaced by the information center. However, the supermarket will remain along with the toilets for men and women. Next to it will open three fashion stores. The car park will occupy the entire storefront, replacing the fitness center.

Moreover, the countryside area is accupied and dual carriageway is introduced for convenient traffic flow around. Currently, the centre has the main road expanding from west to east and shops are available on both sides of the road. The main road also leads to the parking area and to the housing and school area. To the north, countryside area is present and to the south alongside the park, housing as well as school facilities are available. In the proposed development plan, the main road would become pedestrians way and dual carriageway will be introduced. Shops on one side of the main road would be converted into bus station, shopping centre , car park and new housing. The old parking area gets less space and new housing is made along the old parking. The housing as well as school facilities will be at the same place as before.

Overall, it is clear that the town centre will be expanded over the countryside and will be for pedestrians only, with main road planned to be moved outside of Islip. Additionally, more new housing will to be developed in the future.
