tbh this is the most useful IELTS channel on youtube they get right to the point not wasting our by saying the same thing over and over again

5 simple steps to higher listening score 1. Predict the topic *Use the title, content and any pictures to guess the topic immediately. *This will help you to predict the kind of language that you will need. *Don’t worry if you don’t know much about the topic. Just get ready for related vocabulary. 2. Find the keywords in each question *Look for the most important words in each question. *Underline them, circle them, whatever you need to do. *Don’t forget about the answer choices for multiple choice. 3. Listen for synonym and antonyms. • The person speaking doesn’t always use the same words. • You need to listen for synonym (different ways of saying the same word). • And also antonyms (saying the opposite). 4. Always stay focused • There is no time on IELTS listening for you to lose focus. • Don’t worry if you miss a question. Focus on the next one. • Sometimes you may need to refocus. During these times, just take a deep breath and get back to it. 5. Don’t review. Preview • The listening test gives you time to review your answers. • Instead of going back, focus on previewing the next questions. • Previewing will include reading the questions/answers and looking for the keywords.

Your videos are super helpful!!! Hopefully I can get at least 7.5 when I do the review on my own. Thanks so much. Also, I’m really nervous whenever I have to write an exam or even a spoken test. I feel more comfortable when I consider it as a normal conversation. But I don’t know how should I do it when I do the actual IELTS speaking test. One more thing is can you please give me some advice on how to memorize words, structures of writing parts, idioms, and how to apply them appropriately? I want to get at least 6.5 in writing. My current level now is just about 5.5-6. Plz provide more tips and lessons about all of these. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks so much.

Some more tips I would like to mention are: boost your vocabulary and work on your mistakes. After you have finished your trial listening, read the transcript and write down words you've not understand and learn them later. Try to become comfortable with english accent. Make sure not to repeat the same mistakes again in your next listening tiral.

Sometimes the answer to some questions in listening can be two or three big words and writing them can take up to 4-5 seconds. Writing those answers alongside listening can lead to missing the answer to the next question. How do we cope up with this?
