So, if I had to summarize for grammatical range what the examiners want (according to the band descriptors) is: -a variety of complex sentences -a variety of verb tenses (especially the complex ones?) -a variety of passive forms -a variety of modals -a range of comparative forms -a range of linking words Basically, it's all about "variety "(range) of all the above structures (without being obsessed with "complex" or "simple" grammar).Am I wrong?
