The fella who says to Malcolm, "Yer hair's too long!" Is such a hypocrite! His hair is no shorter, is it? PS: Malcolm=sexy!! :)

In those days yeah... Kinda, that's debatable.

The margins were much smaller in those days. If the back of a man’s hair was even a centimeter too long it was noticed.

Ah, ha-ha! Malcolm McDowell rocks: "Jolly, jolly GOOD, Stephans!" His insouciance is awesome. This film is why Stanley Kubrick chose McDowell to play Alex in 'A Clockwork Orange.'

I still find it both funny and haunting when he gives Denson a V-sign. It's like his first act of anarchy, a silent utterance of "Fuck the establishment". The start of a soldier in school uniform...

Not to mention, just after lights-out, 'Whatever you're doing now, Stephans, DON'T!'.

There's something quite endearing in talking in the dark, when you're meant to go to sleep. I remember sleeping in a campsite. The most random things are said at night, but there's always the sour-pot who likes sleep too much and gets all huffy.

Forget how good Malcolm McDowell looked. If... was the ultimate anti-establishment movie. It is as prescient today as it was 40 years ago
