tbh i noticed the drinking part. First time I had alcohol, it kinda sucked. It straightup tastes like medicine. Probably because of some medicines i had as a kid, but i digress. I've tried a variety of things. I watered it down with tea, I tried a rum&coke, I tried some mead. It's just... not good. Like, I felt myself loosen up, and my body was telling me that "you're having fun drinking this, therefore it tastes good." but the flavor's very unappealing. I've yet to try more sugary drinks, I bet i'd probably have fun with a white russian or a REAL pina colata, but so far, my experience with alcohol has been rather unpleasent. I hear a lot about the stuff being an 'acquired taste', but I gotta know, if you don't like the taste, and you're in a situation where you're not being pressured/don't have to drink, Why do people drink it?

If you've been habitually not getting enough sleep, then yes you will feel a bit tired after getting the 7-9 hours that you need. However, if you can consistently get 7+ hours of sleep, you will feel like a completely different person and you will feel rested after a week or two of consistency; then you can feel better rested for the rest of your life if you keep the habit.

The weirdest thing about becoming an adult was realizing that, not only do I not know what I’m really doing, but no one else does either, and every adult I knew as a kid that I thought had all the answers was really just winging it

honestly i find it kinda reassuring, some of the stuff adults said to me was "the truth about the world" when i was a kid was quite horrifying. Growing up realizing they really ddin't have a clue and that it wasn't an "ultimate truth" or something like that was pretty nice lol

Its very interesting how that's depressing for some people and relieving for other people. I'm on the first group, cause growing up not knowing what the hell was going on with anything I was like "well, at least the adults now how this works", then come they were on the same boat all along and you don't have anything to look at for reference.
@catbatrat1760

To me, that feels kinda reassuring. I mean, if you think you're supposed to know everything only to... not, that might make you feel stupid or otherwise inadequate. Then it turns out that everyone else is actually the same. I feel like that's nice because it means there's not so much pressure to know things that you just... don't.

@@catbatrat1760 Very true. The unfortunate thing is that most adults have a very hard time *admitting* that they don’t know things. The need to be right is so strong, it feels like survival. Some would rather die than say “you’re right, I’m wrong.”

Honestly that was never a problem form me as an adult until my 40's. Now I sleep for 9 hours I'm tired, I sleep for 7 hours I'm tired, I sleep for 8 hours I'm tired. You can't win.

@@jimmym3352 Sleep as much as you can. Take as much time as you can to catch up on sleep. Sure, you feel tired if you sleep more than usual, that's your body trying to sneak in some sleep out of schedule. Catch as much sleep as you can. Eventually you will feel more rested, more attentive, more awake, and generally better - for about three hours.

The best clip was at the end... "You're going to be tired." "so I'll sleep more." "No, that'll make you more tired." "So I'll sleep less." "No, that'll make you tired." "And your back will hurt." yup, sums up everything.

Maintain good posture while sitting n standing. Sleep on hard spring bed instead of soft one. Dont pick up heavy object using ur back muscle, use ur thigh muscle.

Secret life tip: there are exercises that are good for your back (unless you have a serious injury or illness). One day, my dad discovered them, and he almost completely stopped having back pain. You just have to practise them every week for the rest of your life and- wait, ok, that doesn't sound like fun.

And when you get 58 or so your hips will remind you they exist, or your knees. Both eventually. Elbows and shoulders often like to get in on the action too so don't count them out. Ankles usually do OK but not always, but feet in general will be constantly pinging you at some point.

@@gabrielpowers766 Another secret life tips: you can turn into a cyborg in your old age! Hips and even knee operations are very frequent nowadays. My grandparents took that life tip and now walk much better. Another life tip: take notes what your family do. If they make mistakes, learn not to do them. If they have some great life tips, learn from them too. How not to make mistakes? Experience. Experience is mistakes. Mistakes we will all make; but sometimes you can cheat and learn from other people mistakes! XD
