This was such a minor detail but I'm so pleased that Ryan included it. On every cooking show, whenever there is a pause, they try to create a moment of tension by doing the same cymbal crash. I watched the entire Hell's kitchen series with my wife and they did that seven or eight times per scene. She thought I was crazy for being annoyed by that to where I almost couldn't watch the shows anymore. I feel so seen right now.

This isn't even a cooking show thing, it's just American television. Every single show does this, and even worse they all take from the same sound bank so it's the exact same five sounds repeated a thousand times to artificially create tension. It does seem to be in a lot of reality shows, but it seems especially egregious in cooking shows. We watched World's Worst Cook and it was done to death there. It's like nobody else has ever recorded a woman screaming before.

Yeah, no. See this is a realization, by you, that your wife is bat shit crazy and made you watch a stupid and horrible thing because maybe you still wanted sexual favors from her at the time. I can't fathom whether you still would want to stick any part of you inside her at the moment, but yes it is a terrible tactic of stupid and horrible reality TV shows that have absolutely no redeeming qualities what-so-ever. Which is spot on for the genre, and women are dumb enough to watch 20 seasons of the god damn trash that it is. The question is, what did we learn today? You were lured into watching what essentially replaced soap operas while eliminating the sunken cost of production down to almost nothing. Speaking of cats, at the start of this I was thinking that the setup would also work for cats as the judge of the food. Cat owners get the super-fancy cat food, and then the cat sees it and refuses to eat it.

Screw that noise. My cats live outdoors and will get mainly dry food. They love wet food and will teleport out of nowhere upon hearing the sound of the can. @@AndyB80808 lol! They must have liked your idea _a lot_ considering they appear to be children themselves... Actually, even children should be held at a higher standard than that. People who are unnecessarily rude to someone for no reason are pathetic, especially online- it’s cowardly because they know there are no actual repercussions [like a good punch to the face]. Do you think their self-esteem rose a bit after trying to taunt you, or did it just stay as low as it was in the first place? They’re the type of AH that scoffs and says “cringe” whenever someone is enjoying themselves. I thought those were great ideas. I pictured Ryan doing them and let out a little laugh snort lol. If I was genuinely amused by just the _thought,_ then I can confidently say that an *actual* skit would be pretty gd hilarious! I really appreciate that Ryan took the absolute funniest possible route with this AND avoided getting vile towards his subject matter altogether. Another comedian would absolutely make this video about hating kids and how much "trouble" they are, Ryan just treats them like people, like he would any other group he looks at. But I have never yet clicked on Ryan's video and found it spiteful towards people (/animals/things ig) he portrays, or getting political, or going the expected, obvious way. He's always original, free of prejudice, loving towards humanity and all its weird, weird behaviours, and hilarious in a unique way. He's an amazing observer, and his perspective is always, idk, wholesome, as he's pointing out existential absurdities rather than chasing a joke regardless of its expense. I can't put it in words like it deserves to, but i live for this vibe, it's so refreshing, leaves me happy to be sharing this planet with other silly humans. (Reminds me of Strange Planet comics that way, although the humour is very uniquely Ryan obviously). I just, i really appreciate i can trust Ryan to make an absolute banger every time. ❤️
