What is Phanteks waiting for?!?! An invitation to make a tower cooler with two T-30s? 😂
@MachinesMore18 күн бұрын
Haha they just need to make a special priced two pack of T30s, and we can throw in whatever Thermalright heatsink that fits. The fact that this air cooler combo is working this well at a moderate RPM with the 9900X is mind boggling.

@chrisrussellca18 күн бұрын
@@MachinesMore I just reviewed the D12L in the M2 and I wish the T-30s fit. I think in the sea of liquid coolers, it’s nice to see so many budget air coolers stepping up and improving. Notably I wasn’t a big fan of air cooling but the M2 turned me into a small fan.

@@chrisrussellca what do you think about T30s on artic freezer 36?
@chrisrussellca18 күн бұрын
@ They’re pretty good. It really depends on the case you’re using. Quite a tight fit in the M2, but it works, and you’ll have a quite dense system. You can get similar performance with other fans, but you have the luxury of running lower RPMs with the T-30s.

Oh my god I just found Your channel recently and I love the way everything is presented and professional but also fun way! Hope this channel gets tons of followers! Interesting case, especially for mac fans. But why are the front usb ports not indicated which one is the faster and which one is the slower port? 😂 Also wouldn't it work with 2 smaller fans on the front as intake, 1 blowing into the cpu cooler and one blowing into the gpu? Or just 1 blowing into the cpu cooler and let the gpu suck air from the top?
@str-23.118 күн бұрын
Are your fans inverted? The logo side of the fan is configured as intake for your build. Isn't that normally exhaust?? Am I going crazy?
@MachinesMore18 күн бұрын
They're reverse orientation fans. So the "frame" side is the intake side.

Isn't it better to have the airflow in the other direction, also because the GPU exhausts down the left side of your build? I imagine you'd be blowing hot air into the CPU heatsink?
@MachinesMore17 күн бұрын
You would be, however I mentioned the following considerations: 1) some users would prefer the hot air not exhaust out the front of the case directed at them and 2) the front intake does mitigate the penalty. If this were an FE card I would not recommend the airflow like that. The ventilation is good enough in the case that you can prioritize practicality over the smaller performance penalty.

@Alex-7-1-117 күн бұрын
Considering cooler clearance, how does it stack against the Louque R1?
@MachinesMore17 күн бұрын
The front vented panel is a big deal. The Louqe does have more cooler clearance but my take is if you can cool a 9900X with this performance this good, I would rather take the mATX compatibility than be able to fit a D15. Of course, Apollo S is priced much steeper than the R1.

What are the "cons" of not having access to the PSU'a On/Off switch? Does the Micorsoft "Shut Down" software switch turn the PSU off? I'm hoping the only "con" is not being able to turn the PSU off during maintenance. I shut down my current laptop every evening.
