Linch King became the final boss lore wise( not including books, because how many of the gamers read them?!) from the RTS Warcraft series. DoTA was indeed made by using the warcraft 3 map editor by the community NOT blizzard. They did not include this but WoW was based on Everquest. Although I still find Starcraft, Warcraft (RTS no the mmo) and Diablo as original games. So in that I agree on. Btw I still like WoW but I only play content to content, I'll be bcak in Legion but I dont find the lore as interesting as the lore in their RTS titles.

The only reason the old gods were imprisoned and left alive is because they are woven into the earth surrounding them and it would mean the end of the world/universe to destroy them. If we agree that the Burning legion is the true dark force in WoW - frankly most conflicts were either driven or inspired by the BL - then its leader, Sargeras, is indeed the ultimate bad guy.

Furthermore there is no evidence to the contrary, blizzard have shown us concept art dated before warcraft 3 even came out but the only thing the other side is doing is constantly pulling the exact same line. THEY ONLY EXIST AS AN EASTER EGG ! THEY ARE A JOKE ! BECAUSE I SAID SO ! That is a very flawed argument when the other information we have says the opposite. Furthermore even if it was a joke (( which again we have no evidence for )), the majority of warcraft has always been a joke in one way or another, the series from warcraft 1 and up to 3 was extremely silly and flat out loony toons at several points, it never took itself extremely seriously. So again its a poor argument to use even if they where originally a joke, because most of the franchise is built on silly things.

People need to stop with the Pandaria hate. The lore behind it and the scenery were amazing. If Asian inspired aesthetics aren't your thing that's fine, but people act like just because they don't like those things it was a bad expansion. Hell, I'd argue that it was better than Cataclysm by leaps and bounds, and was on pretty equal ground with the Burning Crusade in terms of interesting lore and scenery.

Christian Weibrecht Garosh doing a 180 into what he became at the end of Pandaria is really the only part of your argument that holds any weight. I do agree that Garosh was ruined because of that, but when has WoW really not screwed the pooch on character development? Look at Thrall going full on green Jesus. Your comparison to the tauren doesn't work though. The tauren are every bit as stereotypical and on the nose as the pandaren, and this is coming from an avid tauren roleplayer (or ex-roleplayer. Haven't played WoW in almost a year unfortunately). Look at Thunderbluff or any other tauren town or zone. And how was it "childish"? Because it didn't have a super dark tone with orcs snarling all the time and humans brooding and crying? I'm not trying to be mean, but you saying Pandaria was too childish is like the people that say Marvel movies are too childish. A shame that the makers of this video, didn't check some of their statements before putting the video out. Diablo 1 was released in dec. 1996, Baldur's gate was released in dec. 1998, get your facts straight. Most of it was still good enough and, truly when the two biggest and most known/popular Villains/Anti Heroes were defeated(killed off), the game had no where to go any more. Panderians were in WC3, along with a pretty popular hero in TFT.

+zycane Though killing Illidan really did not seem to mean anything. TBC really did not have a coherent quest line from the beginning that lead to Illidan in the end. Even in Shadowmoon Valley it did not feel like he was around. Wrath was very different, there were multiple questlines that had the Lich King appear and do stuff. And when you did kill the Lich King, there was a closure via the Shadowmourne questline. Got to hear statements from most major characters that had something to do with Arthas. While when Illidan died , Maive said something and thats it. Tyrande and Malf had nothing to do with TBC. So I'm okay with them reusing Illidan with a Warlords style story telling.

Legion Spoilers: After Sargeras we've got the defeat the Voidlords (the final bosses/boss). In legion it says that Illidan together with the Army of the Light will help us defeat the Void. The one last and true enemy. Alright, your video goes into the trash bin. While its true Warcraft is the result of Blizzard not getting the rights to make a Warhammer game, and thus coming up with their own franchise... You are so utterly wrong about Diablo (and this is coming from a long time Baldur's Gate fan). For starters, Diablo was the creation of Blizzard North. A completely different game studio, previously known as Condor. Diablo 1 was released in 1996. Baldur's Gate? 1998. And no shit they want to push e-sports. Starcraft 1 became a pro sport in Korea. This is a game that came out in 1998, and by 2005 had crowds of 150k people watching competition in a stadium like location. The whole MOBA style of game came from DOTA, which first started as a popular Warcraft 3 (2002) mod. A lot of the credit for modern e-sports can be attributed to Blizzard and their products. Do us all a favor and do some homework before making such cringe worthy videos.

You can find some of the modders working at Valve (and thus Dota 2). Dota's Pendragon (works at Riot) gave credit to Blizzard though... and Blizzard worked to help make the mod popular. On who owns the original rights to Dota... "Pendragon: I don't know the answer to that question, but certainly the original authors, such as Eul and Guinsoo, and the many contributing authors and companies such as Blizzard, have contributed significantly to the creation of DotA." Additionally, Heroes of the Storm isnt Dota or a LoL copy either. While it falls under the new genre of MOBA, the design is actually quite different, as is the gameplay. HoTS puts a greater focus on varied maps and environmental goals rather than lane pvp.

If there's any way to permanently end a demon, it's Frostmourne. MoP was fantastic, granted the pve aspect of the game has slowly been being murdered into the ground. Ever since the introduction of LFG / LFR... it's taken any social aspect out of the game. Not to mention with LFR they, instead of making different raids, expect you to run the same one on 4 difficulties during a content patch, and to get the hardcore raiders to stfu, they release patches too early, and every time since Cata we're left with over a year of a final content patch.

KazuHiashi Problem with content drought is caused by WoW team being split in half, so when some of them where working on HFC other half (or more) was already doing Legion. Also WoD just killed game with releasing only 2 raid tiers. IMO there is no problem with LFR. Problem is with Blizzard and theirs strategy to release patch and then they work over a year on next expansion ...

Even more evil things and dangerous things than Sargeras. For one Sargeras could in theory be killed, there is almost no chance of it being possible to do, but it is possible. Then kill him in The Twisting Nether to destroy him completely. Then you have The Old Gods, they cannot be killed because they are part of the world so to speak. If you kill them, you kill the world/destroy it. Above the Old Gods you have The Void Lords which made the Old Gods, you don't know really anything about them but they are there. They could always make more, the ultimate evil there.

If you know anything about Warhammer and Warhammer 40k, you can see that they took "heavy inspiration" from that - Space Marines = Terran Troopers, Tyranids = Zerg, Eldar = Protoss; the orcs in WoW have green skin, you know how started that trend? Games Workshop. There were so many themes that I can't even be bothered to mention that were taken by Blizzard, but they did end up going down quite a different path. It's like the X-men; they started out as Doom Patrol ripoffs, and now they're very much their own thing and (some might argue) better than the source of their inspiration. There was even a legal battle between Games Workshop and Blizzard over it, but fortunately Blizzard won. He is right about Blizzard usually ripping off someone else's idea in principle, but they end up streamlining it and going their own way with it, which I think is fair enough. I don't resent Heroes of the Storm for existing, nor do I resent Warcraft or Starcraft or Hearthstone. They're all good. But you'd be naive to suggest that they were not inspired by other games. It's like saying Dragon Age Origins wasn't partly inspired by Game of Thrones; everything is there, it's even all but admitted on the back of the box. Cross -pollination can be a good thing in industries.

It started in SC1, with a game called aeon of strife. when wc3 came out, the mod community named it dota, then a guy going by the name guinsoo, the person who was currently editing dota, decided to make his own game in his own engine called LoL. he did this so he couldnt get in any trouble with blizzard. then icefrog, the guy who got dota editorship from guinsoo, saw LoL, and decided to make dota2. blizzard got pissy at dota2 for doing some pretty shitty things (they literally didn't change anything except graphics and some slight programming improvements) so dota2 had to change a bunch of stuff so blizzard didn't sue the fuck out of them. after that, you have the dota2 we have today.

its just easier to level. they infact dont want you wasting your time like before in fucking vanilla and bc with their grindy buillshit and inability to buy mounts at the given level. Realistically LFR hasnt ruined shit, it cycles out the fuckers who dont know what their doing and want to learn or w.e. So in reality yes it is a bit easier to level considering they took away alot of elites and shit but some of the elites in draenor have nice mechanics that need atleast two people no doubt lol. so idddddddddddddddddk. Plus playing draenor now is diff cos all the end game gear is out. When i was ilvl560 and in the Sargerei Apexis Daily in shadowmoon valley, clearly it was harder to farm, as opposed to being ilvl 720 lol. Yes Pve has generally changed , comapired to Vanilla and BC, cos you could be a level 50 and have shit armor and die to a level 42 with tweaked shit in Van/BC and get murked no doubt. Now its like youre level 100 aand you can clear a level 90 dungeon still generally. IN Bc youd be squashed fucking meat. Honestly I'm not sure anymore. lol :P

According to Warcraft Chronicle 1, I don't even think that the Lich King would make it in the list. His only domain is Azeroth, -actually a very small portion of it-, and he is only a threat to the living of Azeroth. There are much higher cosmic enemies out there. 1) *Voidlords* are the ones who command the old gods to conquer the planets, allowing void lords to manifest in physical reality and devour whatever they want to taste. Magic, life, literally anything. They are stronger than titans -including Sargeras- and they are the prime enemy of the naaru. Unlike naaru, they are so mysterious and evil that we don't even know any of their names. Warlock pet void walkers and void lords are only a micro reflection of what they might be. Even those can eat up the planets themselves, imagine how dangerous they are. 2) *Old gods* are also a major threat without voidlords' control anyway. They are also equal -or possibly stronger- than titans. It required whole pantheon to lock them away under Azeroth's surface because when they tried to kill them, they were almost destroying Azeroth by fatally wounding the titan spirit within the planet. So they're no joke. Only Y'shaarj is dead and the rest are still trying to get out of their prisons. 3) *Sargeras* and his legion has one goal : to end all life on universe so the evil voidlords would be vanquished and the creation itself simply could evolve a better design without such evil in it. With such fantasy, Sargeras and the burning legion are a great threat upon us as we happen to live in that universe too. 4) Lesser spirits of the planets (eg. *elemental lords* of Azeroth) pose a great danger for the ones who live there. They are super strong, probably stronger than Lich King since they can't be killed and brought back to serve in undead; they ARE the very materials of the environment. 5) Corrupted Deathwing was probably stronger than Lich King too. He was simply a creation of old gods and the lich king was the creation of the legion. Old gods being technically stronger than legion (since they are stronger than Sargeras) it makes more sense to me that a dragon with their powers would be stronger than legion's instruments. Either it is the Lich King or others like supreme generals of the legion. 6) Lich King and the rest... In short, the instruments of the legion. Comparing the great evils that were listed above, legion's instruments and the danger they pose are trivial but even they were strong enough to bring tremendous horrors on Azeroth. So nope. Lich king is not the master of all evil. I can also list the forces of good standing against them like; 1) *Naaru* 2) *Azeroth's titan spirit* (that is most likely to be *Elune*) is mentioned by pantheon that it was a lot more powerful than all of them combined and it had great potential. 3) *Pantheon* (they are all dead but their souls are preserved in the titanforged of Azeroth) 4) *Titanforged* 5) *Wild Gods* (either florished by Azeroth's titan spirit or created by the titanforged Freya) 5) *Dragon Aspects* (again, powers granted by the titanforged) 6) *Army of the light and the rest of us mortals* Some also speculate that the Azeroth's titan spirit is already awakening within the souls of the mortals living on the planet, it automaticly would grant mortals higher on the list, but again, that is just a speculation, not canon. Everything I mentioned above are canon by the lore in chronicle volume one. Only the list I made by their power level is totally my insight.

I disagree that the Old Gods are the source of evil tho, since they are as we know only active on Azeroth. What made sargeras Evil was the essence of the Burning Legion. But the Burning Legion and the Old Gods are both very evil and hadn't had any contact in the beginning. A "True" source of evil doesn't exist i'd think. Long story short: Sargeras is probably the most Evil guy. Extra: Not only Sargeras but all the "Elder"-Titans fought the Old Gods and most important to notice... they couldn't kill them, only banish them.

+rbecj99 actually, I believe WARCRAFT was originally going to be a Warhammer game. StarCraft was originally "Warcraft In Space", and it looked horrid.

+0blivi0nRid3r yeah that's what I'm saying. The idea behind warcraft and starcraft was warhammer and wh40k, but games workshop didn't go for it so Blizzard molded it into the concepts we see today. I'm using rip off loosely here, but they were the inspiration.

Yes, DW should have been given a proper introduction for those that haven't read the book, but when you play a game and take interest in its lore, you can find all sorts of information form that thing called "the Internet".... try Nobbel87 next time you want to learn about WoW Lore. If you don't care about the lore, then why do you care who DW is? Pandaren 1st made some sort of cameo back in Warcraft 3, but yeah... can't really argue that point WoD had good and immersive lore (it's only positive really), the epilogue (cinematic in hellfire citadel raid) was complete BS and made no sense Yo! Did you forget that DoTA was a mod for Warcraft 3 multiplayer servers? (dunno about warhammer and the other thing) There aren't many "original" games any more. If you pay attention and break them down almost all games are the same thing. The thing that differentiates them is the lore, design and combat Seriously, this is one of the few times I have to defend Blizzard.... -.-

okay im so tired of people believing that the lich king and the frozen throne is the definition of all evil in wow. He was not the main story by far. . If Anything the current warcraft universe exists because of the selfish egos of knight elves in the past and their obsession with the well of eternity.If it wasn't for them, the legion never would have noticed Azeroth or at least not yet.. Every expansion is just deeper dwellings into the past makings of what made the warcraft universe. If you actually get into the lore I believe it's worth it.. its so damn interesting and it all makes sense, to certain extents lol..:3 and deathwing, Nelfarion.. The PREVIOUS EARTH ASPECT .. makes alot of sense.. he didnt appear out of no where, he was resting, and being refurbished lol after being torn apart by the power of the demon soul/dragon soul. Every now and again I come back to this video, to remind myself what WoW and Blizzard have become, and that they are no longer what touched my childhood so much time ago. Makes me so sad. I've legit seen this video dozens of times. It's sweet and sour. Brings back good old memories, but it also reminds me it is something that will never come back. Even with their attempt at WoW classic, the experience is lost forever.
