myself and Dessie headed over to Paddy Kavanagh to sing a song for him one Sunday morning a few weeks back before heading to the Dublin Bird Market for a look around.
This song is called 'If Ever you go to Dublin Town". It was written by Patrick Kavanagh about himself and I suppose and I first heard it being sung in its entirety by Pat Goode in his kitchen a few years ago along with a number of other beautiful songs. he makes a lovely cup of tea as well if I remember correctly.
This song was recorded by Ronnie Drew and The Dubliners years ago but I never remembered hearing it as a boy.
I hope you enjoy it and if you do enjoy the music you can head over to my website and have a look at the few albums I recorded.
