@DynastyGaming I agree there... Even USSR did... To beat Nazi germany has been a whole team effort where even belgian, dutch, italian and many other resistances in europe were necessary... British like all other allies has known many low points and big failures, the advantage is that in the end, the Allies won. My grand father fleed from Spain during the civil war, he was Basque Spanish... The (almost) alone country to accept Spanish at this time was France which gave french nationality to more than 2 millionsof Spanish. My country has done a big failure in 1940, as all the allies failed till 1942-1943... UK has been saved by many things : The Channel, the french sacrifice in Lille and Dunkirk, the fact Hitler didn't want to ivnade England as he was thinking that Chamberlain would win over Churchill (many deputies and Lords wanted peace after the disaster in France) etc... I tokk this thing too seriously because Anglo-saxons always managed to appear as the alone super-heroes int hat war, erasing that the 1st role was done by Red Army (and I am totally opposed to sovietism but we have to concede that without Red Army no win over Germany).

First of All the luftwaffe had been incredibly weakened by the campaign of France and low countries. French and other air forces had severely impacted the capacities of the Luftwaffe. Then the Kriegsmarine was no match for Royal Navy. And on the political aspect, I don't change a word on the visions I have as it is the one of the majority of Historians ... I have even read a thesis from an american Historian few years ago which was claiming that Hitler had given confusing orders (not followed) about Dunkirk pockets. His will was to preserve UK troops to obtain a peace and on the other hand he wanted to crush France. That last fact has been told by many historians (whatever their nationalities).
