Cant help on the jerky thing as it makes no sense to me either, but usually the bathrooms get dirty if it gets goo busy for one of us on register to go clean it, IF theres more than one person on shift. And no, I dont include the manager on that count for my store cause they dont like cleaning it and expect us to do it if we work with them.....but also dont wanna work the registers if they can help it either cause they're not a cashier.......yeah. Honestly, as someone that occasionally stops at gas station convenience stores, I can say that even though it can be a bit creepy at night sometimes, their stores are actually pretty clean. Expensive, but as the name suggests, it's convenient if you just want a quick little bite to eat. 🤷‍♂️ :)

Never had these problems at the gas station where I worked.. Best job in the world I cleaned the bathrooms every two days... a garden house and a scrubber And soap everything with stainless and just went down the drain pretty easy to clean the bathrooms... Best part of the job are the people you get to make friends with and being able to use the lifts to work on your car , Air compressor is always free.. Man I miss that job north jersey

I worked at circle K for 4 months..... this was my life. The car wash, gas pumps, air was always broken. Homeless people doing "bird baths" (and other things) in the bathroom. Card reader always took a shit during a rush. Bathroom was always wet. An off brand phone charger was 10$ at 1 ft and if you wanted 5-6 ft is was 29$. Beef Jerky was 15$ we were always out of one type of lid for the cups. Air pump always had its nozzle peice stolen. Etc...... I don't miss it.
