Those people can't really be practising the Word of God (as you claim) & abusing people - it's a juxtaposition because the Bible doesn't teach that this is ok. If you personally know of situations of abuse - go report it instead of being rude & presumptuous in the comments section. Also, there are far more healthy relationships amongst Christians than there is abuse. You can't tar everyone with the same brush. If you acted the way you are in this case with everything else... would you still trust the Police, knowing some are corrupt? Should we label all men as r*pists? Shall we assume all married people end up cheating and therefore marriage is a farce? Come on... seeing the bigger picture, understanding the situation in FULL, knowing how forgiveness works and having faith will take you much farther than finger pointing and disgruntlement. I in no way want to belittle these issues because abuse is wrong, it should be taken seriously and resolved. I wish these things were not happening in church or anywhere else. Like I said - God help us because He is the only one who can - Jesus came to show us the right path and died the death we should have died so can be forgiven and made right with God.
