Building my authority in finance and investing really helped me get those first initial followers. The hashtag strategy that my friend Cherry showed me also helped a bunch! The best thing I've done though is to "give more than I receive." That means following like minded IG pages and posting quality engagement. That helped build trust and community.

One thing I notice with collabs and "communities" is a tendency for them to develop inside jokes and interact with each other and reference each other, which can be fun, but also for them to start developing a "community identity" so that they become more similar, less willing to go against the grain or contradict other creators, and if they DO contradict other creators or bring up something that people recognize contradicts other creators, having that lead to stupid "drama" to make them some sort of "villain" in the "community". Be wary of "communities" developing around an interest or topic outside of your following...
