I mean tbh if I was able to start again i'd go for a high investment dot comp and a high investment fua comp and just farm the hell out of that one or two domains and have a himeko+ herta for pf, basically a perfect scenario but thats 10 characters.

For me I'll go for dot team and Acheron e2s1. So kafka, black swan, ruan mei, huo huo, acheron e2s1 (+pella), sparkle, aventurine/fuxuan. Those team can bruteforce any moc and pure fiction righ now

Liked this format. I feel one can get bogged down with the constant optimal/min-max build guides that come out for every new 5 star. You spend hours poring over kit, LCs, team synergies, etc., for every character. Good to see the trimming of fat and a more parsimonious overview of the most generally useful characters in the game since launch.

My eight: Clara - literally does better when the enemy isn't weak to her element Topaz - QoL overworld & synergy with Clara, helps the Clara team deal with single-targets better Ruan Mei - versatility, self explanatory Huo Huo - energy for Clara & versatility Acheron - best DPS, isn't overly affected by lack of element weakness, no energy needed is forever crazy Kafka - DoT is so unbalanced and OP. They really made it better than everything else investment cost wise Silver Wolf - Bruteforce it. Fu Xuan - the GOAT. We all know it.

My top 5-star characters 🤔 Think I'd go Fu Xuan and Adventurine for tanks. Ruan Mei and Sparkle for my buffers. Black Swan, Acheron, Silver Wolf and at this point DHIL, for the rest. I'd then save for Kafka, as she keeps running away from me 😆 My list would look different if we could only have limited 4-stars too. I do like having versitility though, so don't want to give up any of my current characters

honestly really solid picks personally I dont *need* to limit myself to 8, and after me spreading out so many pulls and topups in genshin, im investing more into fewer characters my acheron (eidolons) + sparkle + 4stars like my ghallager/pela does wonders focused pulls into other teams now, FF team with harMC is so nice, only had to swallow my pride and pull ruan mei even tho I hate her character... team can use the aven I got lucky with, or my ghallager decided what to get next tbh, honestly not too interested in a few leaked characters, not super invested in a dot team, nor a "true" fua team either even with aven... probably find a second sustain I guess.. but I dont want fu xuan, and I am skipping huohuo rn too... idk, maybe I just build the bailu I got from a miss during my acheron pulls

my dream team is probably Sparkle, Yunli(when she releases), Black Swan, Dr.Ratio, I can't really hold up on others, but I really love Himeko and she has same aesthetics as Dr.Ratio at the given moment, my soccer team is 8 Sparkles

I will die on the hill that Pela > SW no question! That SW LC or Resolution can have 100% uptime on that AOE ULT and literally works in every team just like Ruan Mei. Until they release a 5 Star Pela (not SW cuz no AOE Def shred), she will continue being the best (Nihility) supporting character!

@@ixirion Yes, on a second account, and more often than not, I'm using Pela for more comfortable rotations and SW is mostly benced. Not saying they are bad at all, just Pela is better at it. The only good argument is she helps out ratio more in single target situations as well than Pela which would be fair but I can't say that triumpths over an AOE Def shred.

@@Taunt_1NG_U well for me its opposite Pela rules only in fiction while in MoC SW on wind set and high speed is a monster. I guess SW will become more valuable in the new mode boss mode also.

They excel in very different scenarios so it's never made any sense to me when people say they've benched SW for Pela or vice versa.

i have jl, dhil and blade, and for ST i have (unbuilt) ratio, yanqing.. i don’t know whether or not i should pull for boothill or firefly, or should i avoid pulling both altogether? is jl enough for the st gamemode?

Both firefly and boothill are very universal dps'. iirc boothill outdps firefly in st but any more firefly stomps him. Honestly, pick who you like, don't build yanqing build ratio

In my opinion, dps comes before sustian. You should go for fu xuan she will carry you threw the beginning and even mid game because of her crazy ability to sustain and sustains can last for SO long unlike dps characters who can get power-crept in just one patch but if you REALLY want boothill just go for him (note that I wanted to add: at end game you would at least need 2 sustains, just wanted to throw this in)

From my time playing Boothill I'd personally say he's a harder sell for new players. While he doesn't need Ruan Mei, Bronya, or HMC to get good numbers I personally find him a lot more fun and easier to use when you have some of them. I'd imagine you could get through most of the story content fine with Boothill being your main carry but you would have to approach the game from a different angle which might limit your pulls for limited characters in the future if you're building a team just around him. I'm actually having a ton of fun with him, he's okay style is my favorite of the DPS, I just think he may be tricky for new players.
