I really enjoyed this. Kino and Cyclops are really likable characters with cool movesets. Their friendship also feels pretty natural. I also like that you included an obscure character like Calliope into the story Maybe for a level concept you could make a level where you explore the Drilla Empire. I remember in your ape Skylanders video you said that the Drilla Empire would be a cool level, so I would love to see that idea explored Regardless, keep up the good work Neon Batteries. I can tell that this series will be great. I look forward to future videos about the Return to Skylands

OK, Theory time: I want to say our MC's mother is a Trap Master the "young portal master" somehow managed to bring her to full grown size in our world, but her equipment, including the blade, could not grow to full size in our world. This would also mean her powers were nullified during the process, and thus resulting in her becoming human, but kept the now blue necklace as a reminder of her past, but never got to tell MC, or the Young Portal Master couldn't tell MC his lineage before MC accidentally went to Skylands. Could explain why our MC has Skylander powers/seems to be shocked by his new appearance. That's just a theory.

I think the inclusion of Woodburrow is lovely! It's my favourite homeworld of all the games. I think this hypothetical game of yours needs a cosy homeworld! That's one thing I feel Imaginators lacked slightly. The academy didn't feel like enough of a base and the MAP was too big and contained threats. I love having a homeworld that feels really safe and cosy while having lots to do, and Woodburrow and trap team's academy were great for this.

Maybe as a way to incorporate the old Heroic Trials could be once you unlock a skylander you play through a mini level but it's focused entirely on that character and their backstory with additional lore snippets in the same fashion as Swap Force

if you are reading this, I have some thoughts thus far regarding the story you have crafted (Once again thanks for the arkeyan lore vid. as somebody with a an arkeyan obsession that was an honor btw). Put aside the fact that this seems to be the sequel to imaginators i think this story has some nice ideas and some…..NOT ideal ones. what I liked *The introduction of another giant. It will be interesting to see the introduction of Cyclops’ backstory and how he met the giants has a lot of potential *The real world and skylands’ connection is something that needs to be addressed in more skylanders stories and how the various earth countries might see skylands as a threat to national security *Arkeyans? Yessssssss what is not good *Why doesn’t Tessa appear at the end of the level? This is woodburrow? If this was a sequel to SSC that retconned imaginators, I would go a step further with this criticism and ask why we don’t see a middle aged tessa *Kino’s character is very cliched with him starting out as very edgy and just being a jerk which really would be fine except we are supposed to like him at first? Except you dont emphasize the tragedy of his mom enough? *I wish you focused on the npcs more instead of rhe skylanders. they are actual characters. have hope for episode 2

Interesting stuff, looking forward to seeing where this is going. I think I might have an idea regarding the acquisition of “Variant Skylanders”. The Sky-Warrior-Trials. To access a Trial, one must first acquire the base version of a Skylander, lets us take Chop Chop as an example. Complete his Trial and one will be granted access to his Secret Techniques, the Wow-Pows of his Series 2 and Series 3 versions.

This is already very good, but to add to it: maybe the imaginators can be incorporated somehow, like maybe there’s a mission in which you need a skylander far stronger than any normal one, and maybe someone like Spyro or Jet Vac recommends the imaginite crystals to create an imaginator. You would then have a character created throughout the rest of the game. Just a cool idea I had.

Kino’s artwork is a very impressive first drawing, kudos to you. I really love how you can get a feel for his and Cyclops’ personalities in the short time we see them here, too! As for story suggestions, I have only two requests. The first: Hugo. He doesn’t need to be a major player or have too important of a role in the story, I just want him to actually be present for it in some way. Second, if and when Flynn is incorporated into the story, be careful not to have him be comedic when it doesn’t fit the tone. Superchargers really mishandled him in my opinion. Either way, I’m super excited to see more of this series and I hope you get enough support to keep making it!

Omg this was so cool the storytelling is great and it feels like skylanders return game fans have wanted,I can’t wait to see what else you have planned. Also here a suggestion maybe have Kino feel a little freaked out whenever he meets new characters especially when there different skylanders because he’s new to skylands and has no idea who or what some of these creatures are plus I would be pretty funny also if you could please have him befriend someone like Funny-bone, Deja vu, or Echo if you could,they’re some of my favorites plus they’re always so underrated

Theory: Kino is a skylander-human hybrid, Kina claims his sword pendant is the last thing his mother gave him. Apart from that he uses lighting similair to how starkiller does it. If he was human then how does he do that and how did he get traptenium? So for now i think Kino is a human-skylander hybrid. I could be wrong though.

I think it could be a good plot element to bring back the original elemental energies from SSA, like the MC has to find them to power themselves to defeat the darkness and even getting to choose a certain element to harness for themselves, giving the skylanders of that element power boosts and maybe some outfits

Ok, I have a weird idea: the robots are attacking because of the influence of a deranged Frankensteind together amalgamation of technology and bone resembling a dragon. Sci-Clops was so mad when we first encounter him because that influence is affecting him to, it's just giving him the mother-in-law of all migraines instead of making him evil.

Ok, you have ideas but like none of this feels Skylanders like. This is a pitch of an indie game, NOT a Skylanders game and should NOT be a Skylanders thing. This is literally just random thing you want to do with Skylanders almost lazily plastered upon it like Cyclops being a giant since those are generally 1 per element based. And ESPECIALLY since Skylanders are the roster, Skylanders are nameless (99.9% of the time) and everyone is treated as that. Focusing on two *specific* characters is annoying and just...not it.

Hey it’s ok for change, this is just his version of making a new skylanders game that I find pretty interesting. He made it into something completely unique which is what skylanders was: a completely unique thing. If you have a theory on how you would make a skylanders game I would love to hear it 😊
