72 here and I’ve mastered Logic, let’s drop the patronising ageism!

Wow. I’m 77 and I’m buzzing through Logic with your help and many other Logic tutors. I also find the title “50+” very patronizing. Like we’re old so we’re dumb? Sorry man but I have to call it. Drop the title. Gianni❤

I’m approaching 30 but I switched off Logic almost a decade ago using Ableton and just thought to give Logic another try and somehow feel quite at home / nostalgic - but I also definitely need this kind of content to get me back into some kind of flow. Thank you

I’m 65 and I wasn’t going to comment until I saw all these complaints. If people want to be offended they’ll find something to be offended about… I’ve had Logic for a few years now but enjoying learning theory and playing guitar so much that I don’t spend enough time on really learning logic. I’ve only created some backing tracks with Logic. If it were much more user friendly I would do more with it. I downloaded NI Komplete 14 last year and that’s the same. The learning curve to make great music is steep. My guitar is so fun to create on and the theory just makes things better. I’m going to follow this teaching and put more time into it this time around… Thanks CC, glad you’re still at it -I really appreciate your content. Namaste 💪😎🎸

Honestly, that is your impression of the 50+ generation? I am 63 and started learning and working with Logic without any issues. My father is 87 now and still editing his camcorder videos using Adobe Premiere, which he has started upon retirement. Have you ever considered that even older Logic starters most probably will have a musical background with relevant technical knowledge (usually grown over decades) and at least a basic understanding what an analog audio studio was? I like the idea to explain Logic basics to people with no idea what a DAW might be, but this is not related to age. Lack of education as well as stupidity and ignorance are not exclusive in my generation. Additionally, recording audio was general teenager knowledge when I was young. You had to capture music from the radio or your friends´ records on reel or cassette tape if you were not born with a silver spoon in your mouth. This included wiring of turntables, tape recorders and other devices to receivers or amplifiers and also setting the correct signal path and recording level on the tape machine. Pretty similar to the things happening in a DAW today, by the way. From my perspective your explanation will better suit for people who have grown up with Napster, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify or other file sharing and streaming services which have never encountered the need to record anything themselves. In the last decades I have been frequently asked to support people with the setup of their audio or home cinema devices - more than 90% of these being between age 15 and 40.

I really like Logic, it feels like home ... and I'm 50+. Now Logic isn't perfect and have have some glaring holes in it which forces me to often use other system. Why on earth doesn't Logic have a spectrogram view like Reaper and Audacity have? It is absolutely essential for editing field recordings, that way you can cut out the bad parts. And why on earth do I have to pay a fortune for a RX plugin to do spectrum editing when it is free in Audacity. Get real guys. I love Logic but doesn't always do the job.

I turn 50 in a few months, I’ll have to remember not to be an offended cry baby when I get there. These comments are hilarious. Sad, but hilarious.

I agree with people here, loose the age bs! I am 66 and I think I can learn you a trick or two about logic….

My fellow 50-plussers: let's not get too bent over the words of a CHILD. We all have more life experience than this brat ever will, so let's take the high road and just chuckle at his ignorance, okay? I'm sure he wasn't intending to be patronizing or (accidentally) offensive. Let's consider the source: a child, speaking presumptuous drivel (at least in his video title). Life's too short to short-circuit over nincompoopery like this. 🙂

"If I was 50+" You have no idea how patronizing that is. I thought better of you.

Hard disagree. It's a good title for targeting a specific audience. There is nothing worse than trying to learn something new and having no clue which search result to click on. This screams out to a particular demographic and then delivers a quality video with quality information.

@conceptSde You can already see so many new starters commenting good things on this video I get that people are trying their best to me positive But not all elderly people are constantly adapting This video is clearly for them
