Utilizing platforms that I already have is honestly one of the most important tips. I'm just starting out and the traffic that I do get comes from my Twitter audience I already had before I re-branded to make my channel. It really helped me get a little buzz going. Being active on those other social media platforms helps so much. Also, I use my own personal page to promote a lot of my stuff as well. It helps a lot!

Good stuff, Sunny! I started your YT4B course over the summer. After just over 2 months of creating content I'm at 600 subscribers! (I teach female entrepreneurs how to often limiting beliefs and stop procrastinating so they can move their biz forward with confidence.) I've been saddened lately how many people don't follow the advice you mention on leveraging your audience, or getting into FB groups to leverage someone else's. I actually had one person tell me they felt like scum when they share their own video! 😱WE MUST stop these limiting thoughts and fears, and START to put ourselves out there, especially as female entrepreneurs. LADIES! Do you think the egotistical, greed-driven, self-absorbed men of the world have any problem marketing themselves and using such an open playing field to their own advantage? NO. And that's exactly why we NEED YOU to step up and play bigger! No, it's not always easy, but it IS possible when you have the right tools and environment. And it won't *always* feel difficult; it gets easier. #thefutureisfemale #letsdothis

You're really espousing the fundamentals of lean and agile product delivery. Recognize that your customer defines value. Start with a minimum viable product (it doesn't need to be perfect) and then optimize/refactor to be a marketable product based on real market feedback. Nicely done, and valuable!

It's hard to gain subscribers I will say that. Just cause you may do a video thats "trending" doesnt mean you'll see an increase in subs. I'm confident that I have great content it'll just take time. Thank you so much for your videos, always full of information ! I just filmed I tried doing asmr for the first time while drunk lol

@ Claudiarose_xo yea girl it def is hard to get subs when your first starting out. the best tip i can give you is to make sure you stay engaged in the comments on channels that are like yours or even in channels that you just enjoy. when you engage with people they see your comments, and check out your page to get to know who their talking to. and if they like your channel, you just gained a new friend and subbie. this has work for me and i know it will work for you! best of luck to you and your channel. and dont get to drunk lol!

It's so true about the trending videos. We profile women entrepreneurs. We have one that has a video that has over 30,000,000 views but her subscribers are just over 100K. It's really fascinating the more you learn.

FORUMS are really a powerful tool. All of the people there are already tightly geared to the same mindset. You need to make sure you spend the time getting to know people and showing a genuine interest in other peoples content there BEFORE you eve think about posting videos on them though. Otherwise you will be seen as a spammer.

Thanks for your advice. I sometimes get discourage because I felt like no one is watching my videos but I realized it's not about "if people watching me", it's about "if I enjoy what I'm doing". Now I don't mind views that much anymore. I just upload because it's fun:)

Hi, looks like you're putting out around 2 videos/month. It's going to be slow doing that. Up your frequency and you'll quickly get more subs. The more videos you put out there the greater the chance of people finding you and subscribing. It's kind of a numbers game, even though it should really be quality based, it's not.

Good to see your hair staying curly - it was awesome for Stu to refer to me for helping others to embrace their hair - not to fix it - but to embrace it. Looks beautiful! Great video - i have taken a year off to build my online course Cultivate Your Curls and now I am working on my online course for hairstylists and have not been on YT as much but still have growth. These are great tips that you shared and inspired me today - thank you!

Thank you for sharing this helpful information! I started my KZbin channel many years back doing makeup tutorials ...and although I had a good amount of views and subscribers (almost 40,000) back then, at one point I completely changed my videos from makeup to cooking, which made me lose about 10,000 subscribers. But then on top of that, I was absent and didn’t upload videos for like 5 years...so now I’m trying to get back into it....but A LOT has changed... and although I still have some subscribers... my view numbers are not great. So I feel like I’m starting all over again and found your video very helpful!
