I main the AS7-K3 and can confirm this is a fun and effective build. I also like a variation in which the two left-side SnPPCs are dropped and replaced with an MRM 40. You lose some pin-point damage, but you get a slightly longer range option which has a higher mount. I find this helps more than you might think when poking outside brawl range. It doesn’t make you an effective long range trader-it’s still primarily an up-close brawler-but it lets you take pot-shots or lay down suppressing fire on occasion or shoot over obstacles, where the snppcs would be out of range or would be durping into the ground. Overal, I do more damage with the MRM, but get more kills with the snppcs. Both work well.

It's really cool seeing my contributions from another angle. I kept that SR on the wall in HPG NARC'd most of the match so it would be easy for everyone to ensure they didn't walk into the open (while also harassing that Awesome and Nova). Also lets CONVENIENTLY IGNORE how long it took me to take out that Vapor Eagle after the call was made. I can aim, I swear! (I can't)

This game is literally nothing but meta assault mechs .... the balance is so dumb now ... almost every game I play is 50% assaults or more ...

I somewhat don't agree, only because you can have the most meta build with the best mech and still lose to yourself not playing well or the other team playing just as well.

I'd have to disagree. I run assaults because I suck at lights and most mediums, and I get eaten alive by meta lights and mediums quite often. The key is positioning, which I suck at. If you can position and you are against an average MWO player you can do some serious damage. Want to really up it? Get a Scaleshot and just run that. Thing is a dps mobile turret.

This is not true. I mainly pilot assaults, and there are many matches in which I am the only assault on my team. Other times, it’s 2 or 3. Sometimes you get a very heavy team, yes, but I’m just saying it goes both ways. Average is about 5, I would say.

Definitely not, assaults are not the style for everyone. Many players prefer mobile mechs instead of beeing left behind in a everage nascar situation
