I don't think the first crime would be assault. It would be worker abuse since in this episode, Mr Burns has Homer working for him after he fires Smithers.

Well, the charges over trying to have Abe Simpson killed would constitute as conspiracy to commit murder for hire since Mr Burns hires an assassin, probably from Mexico or Brazil or Venezuela or even Chile to kill Abe Simpson. Based on his high culpability, he should get 25 years for this.

I wouldn't call the break-in scene property damage and trespassing. I'd say property damage and burglary since he had the intent to harm BOTH Abe and Bart.
