As soon as the word "worship" is uttered, our minds become engrossed with what the saints do inside temples. When I think about Nietzsche, I would like to say worship is a heroic struggle to grow in oneself the attributes of God. Specially compassion, care, justice, love, charity, forgiveness, creativity, progress etc. These are some of the colors of God. And God is the best in colors. That is what takhallaku be akhlakillah means. It is the vigorous uphill climb, purifying and growing oneself with knowledge, understanding, wisdom, power to think, feel and act. Worship in Islam is something of Nietzschean approach to life, except that a worshipper here is not only a hero, but also a compassionate person like Christ. As for Nietzsche, he did not like compassion, as I understood his overman. And the ultimate aim of such growth is to be able to love God and to be grateful to God. Gratitude comes from feeling the worth and greatness of one's own life. The greater is this feeling and understanding, the greater is his gratitude to and love for God. This gratitude to and love for God leads him to struggle for the oppressed, for those who are in need.

It is true that Nietzsche said good things about Islam, but he dedicated a lot of work to Buddhism and he started to be interested in philosophy because of Schopenhauer, who was deeply moved by buddhism... So... I've read a lot about him and for some time I was a fan of Nietzsche... And I can assure you that "IF NIETZSCHE HAD UNDERSTOOD BUDDHISM CORRECTLY, HE WOULD HAVE BECOME A BUDDHIST." By the way, I'm not a buddhist. You have to take into consideration that 1. He rejected the idea of a god. 2. Buddhist texts were just beginning to be translated at the time he was alive and 3. The similarities between his thoughts and Buddhism and Daoism coincide like... a LOT. Probably because of his admiration of Schopenhauer

Nietzsche did not explicitly discuss Islam in depth, his ideas on religion, morality, and culture can be applied to understand his potential perspective on Islam. Nietzsche was critical of traditional religious beliefs and their influence on society. He argued that religion often served as a means to control and manipulate individuals, suppressing their natural instincts and desires. In this context, Nietzsche might have viewed Islam, like other organized religions, as a system that imposes moral codes and restricts individual freedom. He may have seen it as an institution that perpetuates societal norms and stifles personal growth. Furthermore, Nietzsche believed that morality was subjective and constructed by those in power. He criticized the idea of absolute moral values and argued that they were used to maintain social order. From this perspective, Nietzsche might have viewed Islam's moral framework as a product of cultural conditioning rather than an inherent truth. He may have questioned the authority of Islamic moral teachings and emphasized the need for individuals to critically evaluate and challenge established norms. Nietzsche also explored the concept of power and its manifestation in society. He argued that dominant groups exerted their power over others through various means, including religion. In this context, Nietzsche might have analyzed Islam as a tool used by those in power to maintain their dominance over certain communities or regions. He might have examined how religious institutions within Islam contributed to power dynamics within Muslim societies.

Allah SWT mentioned in the Noble Quran 8:65, that 1 Muslim can defeat 10 Non-Muslims....whereas I was seeing 1.8 Million Jews defeating 1.8 Billion Muslims....It made me question Qur'an's authenticity. Nietzsche didn't know much about Islam but he had some opinions on the religion and muslims. He saw it as superior to Christianity because he found christians to be weak (comparing them to slaves) and anti-culture. Neglecting this life completely for the afterlife is something he despised. That's why he always praised Andalusia. Overall though, it should be noted that he had a very orientalist view on Islam and muslims which was prevalent in Europe at the time (wild, medieval, misogynistic, blindly fanatic). He hated european and german culture which is the reason why he always brought up different cultures and religions as counterparts. You can also find texts where he criticizes all religions though, so take his praise with a grain of salt. "If Islam despises Christianity, it has a thousandfold right to do so: Islam at least assumes that it is dealing with men....Christianity destroyed for us the whole harvest of ancient civilization, and later it also destroyed for us the whole harvest of Mohammedan civilization. The wonderful culture of the Moors in Spain, which was fundamentally nearer to us and appealed more to our senses and tastes than that of Rome and Greece, was trampled down (-I do not say by what sort of feet-) Why? Because it had to thank noble and manly instincts for its origin-because it said yes to life, even to the rare and refined luxuriousness of Moorish life!... The crusaders later made war on something before which it would have been more fitting for them to have grovelled in the dust-a civilization beside which even that of our nineteenth century seems very poor and very “senile.”-What they wanted, of course, was booty: the orient was rich.... Let us put aside our prejudices! The crusades were a higher form of piracy, nothing more! The German nobility, which is fundamentally a Viking nobility, was in its element there: the church knew only too well how the German nobility was to be won.... The German noble, always the “Swiss guard” of the church, always in the service of every bad instinct of the church-but well paid.... Consider the fact that it is precisely the aid of German swords and German blood and valour that has enabled the church to carry through its war to the death upon everything noble on earth! At this point a host of painful questions suggest themselves. The German nobility stands outside the history of the higher civilization: the reason is obvious.... Christianity, alcohol-the two great means of corruption.... Intrinsically there should be no more choice between Islam and Christianity than there is between an Arab and a Jew. The decision is already reached; nobody remains at liberty to choose here. Either a man is a Chandala or he is not.... “War to the knife with Rome! Peace and friendship with Islam!”: this was the feeling, this was the act, of that great free spirit, that genius among German emperors, Frederick II. What! must a German first be a genius, a free spirit, before he can feel decently? I can’t make out how a German could ever feel Christian...." from "The Antichrist".

I mean we're pretty afterlife oriented ourselves and I'm not sure he'd see much difference between us and the Christians when he finds out the restrictions Allah (subhana wa ta'la) places on us in this life to achieve that afterlife, which I'd say he'd feel to be more restrictive of his life's pleasures than whatever the Christians were practicing. It also has to be said that while Andalusia and Baghdad were great achievements for muslim civilization there "luxuriousness" was not enviable and ultimately contributed to there downfall. The rest of his analysis is impressively spot on, I'd say. Specifically about Alcohol lol. Never understood the North European obsession with Alcohol even when there intelligencia identifies how poiosnous it is for there socities.
@castle_45

@@nuhashahmed7692 He was aware of the restrictions and even wrote about potentially moving to Tunisia for a while because he wanted to look at Europe from that perspective: "I want to live for a while amongst Muslims, in the places moreover where their faith is at its most devout; this way my eye and judgement for all things European will be sharpened." Regarding the christians, he particularly mentions the monk lifestyle. To him, Christianity was invented by weak, poor people to gain power and oppress everyone. It’s all about sacrifice and being a victim in his view. He talked a lot about power and to him, muslims were expressing that more by being "real men“. Also keep in mind that muslim empires were generally more tolerant and embracing cultures in history (Andalusia or Ottomans for example) which is one of the reasons many europeans had this orientalist dream of the muslim world. Of course, we think about the afterlife every day and there are absolutely muslim nihilists who are against everything joyful in life but in reality, there are a lot of references in our religion to enjoy this life (in modesty) as well. If you look at hardcore christians (particularly catholics), they were going as far as saying to only have intercourse to reproduce lol. That type of neglect of this life was disgusting to Nietzsche.

@@abdulrahmanabouarkoub7792 By that, I mean that they usually saw muslims as "noble savages" or just fanatic savages. Nietzsche's orientalism was mostly positive but he himself for example never even visited the orient or read it's literature. Despite his lack of knowledge, he still wrote quite extensively about it because he had a clear view in his mind about muslim civilization. The most prominent and possibly the only contention I've got against Islam is that it never answers the ontological question of "The necessity for creation." In other words, the doctrine is not able to logically prove that creation is/was better than non-existence. And for a book that claims to be "تِبْيَنًا لِكلِّ شيءٍ", that's a pretty big hole in its ideological framework.

@@nuhashahmed7692 If "If it had NOT been so" is an irrelevant proposition, then a big chunk of the justice system will also become so. "If person X hadn't been injured, the family would still be getting a monthly provision of such and such amount. Hence, the accused (the company who's act caused the injury), should also pay an equivalent compensation..." You see, even in dealings between humans, such a question has its relevance. But we are asking it from the perspective of truth (which includes the Creator as well). So if Islam is from the Creator, who also created logic, we must be able to argue logically for the "point (not the purpose) of creation."

You have strung together two separate points as one. However, as far as why God chose to create the universe question, that only God knows. Us not knowing holds no bearing on our existence or function within this world. Islamic cosmology is complet. The relevant question for us is why were were created, that Islam addresses in detail. In response to your second point, read Quran 16:17.. Can the One Who creates be equal to those who do not? Will you not then be mindful? God is the creator, that's one of his names.
