If Only Christians Would Act Like This! 😬 Romans

Romans 12 gives us a SUCH a character challenge that I find myself saying "If only Christians would act like this". But the more important question I need to ask myself is, "am I acting like this". Let's take a moment to get the plank out of our own eye in this verse by verse study of Romans 12:12-21. We will tackle all the major issues head on and be reminded of the kind of person Jesus exampled for us and the kind of person we are called to be.
I hope and pray this motivates you powerfully and even if it breaks your heart a bit it would only be to make you stronger in Christ!
in Christ,
Mike

Some like me who live with chronic pain and disability my hope is not that what I’m going through is something that will someday end this side of the resurrection but my hope is that God will see me through it and my faith in him grows.

Thank you Mile for ALL of your diligent work. I am a Senior, born and raised in the WOF/CHARISMATIC/NAR movement. I thank God he brought me out (knew nothing else...& taught “we” were the only ones who really operated in the truth and anointing) and in trying to start all over in the Bible (without the bent toward Charismania)......and find a group of people to teach me & fellowship with, 6 months in I heard for the first time in my life .... VERY strong Calvinism. In my gut....although I did not understand.....I felt I needed to leave. ALL of your teachings are so balanced as I read my Bible along with you. Thank you..... Thank you for helping me sort Mike.

Mike is not a Calvinist. Charismatic is not the same as word of faith teaching, many do not believe in that teaching. Nar is a made up term, and something used to label all Pentecostals and charismatics. Mike is someone who presents a balanced approach to Gifts of the Spirit, miracles today, and the Holy Spirit speaking presently.

Me & my husband from across the seas in England very much appreciate this and are enjoying the in depth study of Romans. So hungry for the Lord and to be His salt & light to the lost in this darkened world. Love and prayers for all my brothers & sisters everywhere to run this race with much perseverance☝️✝️⚓📖🙏 Always try to remember that we're just camping here, one day we get to take our tents down and go to our true home forever with our amazing Lord & saviour, I mean.....wow!! What a hope we truly do have to rejoice in peeps! 🥰❤️ May I humbly recommend watching 'The power of the persecuted church,' a free 40min documentary on KZbin. This illustrates the raw realities and amazing results of everything Mike teaches from this passage about behaving like a Christian. I pray we all grow in our faith and daily walk & stand strong on our rock the Lord Jesus Christ...yet not I but through Christ in me. To God be the glory always 🛐 Amen.

People are really bad to each other in this world. The good thing to know is that Jesus taught us to love our enemies, neighbours, God and to do good to others.

I worry not being able to be angry with God creates a cognitive dissonance if you are genuinely angry with him. I understand maintaining a healthy fear but if I can't be honest with God I think I resort to running from him. Is it a sin to be angry with God(I think so in the missing the mark sense)? Is it a sin to express anger with God? I don't know actually, does it bother God that his creation is angry with him(probably not the way we think since we are misguided). I don't know maybe i'm blowing the advice given out of proportion but my main concern is whether being angry with God is permissible because if not then I feel God no longer becomes an option of a place to go to in times of intense emotion. I pity the priests of old at times. If they came on an off day they risked death. If I'm being honest I would never go around God if I wasn't happy because the fear of unexpected death would overcome me.

I think the problem is not our feelings of anger but the cause which is sin, especially if anger is directed at God. Our problem is that we don't understand God and we get angry at Him for the wrong reasons. If you can bring your anger to Him in a humble and teachable manner, then you will be telling Him, "I'm angry, but I know the fault doesn't lie with you - what have I missed/misunderstood? Please teach me your truth."

Stephen Zevetchin The problem with the KJV has nothing to do with it being corrupted (it’s not); we simply do not speak that form of English anymore. I have read Bible Commentaries based on the KJV and with each section, after quoting the Bible verse(s), they include a paraphrase in modern English. Why not skip that step and just read the Bible in modern English to begin with?

Ok, this is ackward but you all that want "God to tell you what to do" or to have a "to do list" or a "to think list" or a "to feel list" or whatever; you are no better than inmature kids. It's like you are placing the carriage in front of the horse; you are making the same mistake of those zanedrin dudes, they took the wisdom and made it into a list of requirements that they would harras the people the do but they wouldn't touch it with a finger. The right aproche is to first Be in order to Do, and that's what Jesus did back then, he teached and showed by example how to be a well developed and concius being, a mature and coherent person. He NEVER said, "guys, wait for my sacrifice, then accept it and make people repeat a few words accepting it, then come to church and all is well, you're safe". He was about BEING, he was rational, coherent, aware, balanced, mature and logic at so many levels, emotional, psychological, spiritual and so on.

wow, new age, babylon repackaged demons have you. besides, most of what you've stated is simply not true. we're not Jesus. he was sinlessly perfect. we cannot be. the bible is a set apart library on exactly what and how and why God has expectations of us. So go on and believe its what you do. it's the wide path to hell.

Biblical waiting is doing what you already know God wants while waiting for an answer from God. Many many times in the Bible Disciples and prophets ask God for answers through prayer. I think you should follow in their example.
