@@ChadsCustomCreations I really like it as I mainly only use it for smaller things as you can imagine. The main issue that they are having is listening to the people on speed, etc. which is taking away from accuracy and precision. The app is usually not quite right and free of bugs. So there's some issues and bugs that need worked out , if they do that it would be a great little machine. I have 2 other brands that I use as well. It's like each machine has their go-to reasoning.

Nice review and coverage of the components, software and capabilites! So, with the handheld option, you showed engraving your workbench, but I'm sure many of us really want to know about using it to laser engrave our cats. I think there is a HUGE untapped market for laser engraved cats to totally personalize them! Hmmm, my cat says I should ask about laser engraving stupid humans... So, I guess no laser engraving of cats or their stupid human... Regardless, the hand held option to mark containers, etc looks like an interesting capability... Keep up the great reviews!

I wouldn’t really recommend this style laser if you’re looking to cut, check out my video on the xtool 10 or 20w laser which incredibly can but 3/4” oak plywood.

I think depends on what your burning, slate and glass is probably okay. But wood and organic materials just imagine the fumes they would create if you put a match to them that’s the fumes you’ll get. If you had it next to a window with a fan venting out you could get away with it in the craft room.

A mouth? If you need to go larger than what the laser pecker can do I recommend looking at the xtool D1 I have a few videos on it if you're interested.

It's possible but you'd have to do it in pieces. 4x12" no problem with that trolley mode. For bigger signs check out my video on the xtool.

I just got the Laser 3 and nothing seems to be working. I can etch the test card. Tried to etch the bottom of a bowl I turned and the quality was very bad. The preview function does not work at all.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Are you making sure to have the correct distance from the laser head for it to be in focus?

@@ChadsCustomCreations yes, that is easy. Just seems that the only thing it will etch is the test cards that came with it. They came out beautifully. The roller is not working either. I have tried it using 3rd axis and cylinder on a copper pipe. It wouldn’t roll, but when it was in focus it did etch.

@@erikhansen6062 with the roller you have have to use those little rubber bands for gripping smooth objects so they will rotate. If it is not giving you the desired burn try slowing it down or make sure that there is no residue blocking the laser beam from working at it’s full potential.

Yeah it’s up there must have something to do with that galvo mirror system so it’s great for someone who needs small stuff done fast but I would say xtool is a more well rounded machine for bigger jobs.

92 mm is the extent of %100 accuracy so the software for the QR code probably takes that into consideration.

without the app, you can tap the Play button on the top to pause/resume a job; hold it to cancel the current job.

Also, holding the Play button 3s when it's not engraving will turn it off. a short tap to turn it back on. regarding the QR code being a bit smaller than expected, I guess it's because of the white margins around it, that were counted into the 100m size you specified. I forgot is auto crop is available when engraving QR code. worth a try.
