Outside his clique (no pun intended), I don't think anything would impress Diesel enough for him to put it over. -Ospreay vs Danielson, too long, not enough psychology, and too many moves I can't do. -Swerve as champion, his entrance is too gimmicky. -MJF, cusses too much, back in my day, we didn't need bad language. -Mercedes Moné, her ring gear isn't the best. -Orange Cassidy, he wears sweatpants that look like denim jeans, pick one or the other. -Chris Jericho, never had a problem with Chris. -Sting as an authority figure, wouldn't do it. AEW will NEVER get better until the company goes through a complete overhaul. Tony Khan could hire The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and even Vince McMahon himself. He could put on the greatest matches of all time and earn 8 stars from daddy Meltzer and all the adoration from Cagematch marks. It doesn’t matter. Until everything in AEW is turned upside down from its leadership, to creative, culture and purpose - It will simply continue to tank its own ratings weekly and see less and less people turn up to live events. I hope it gets better.

I think Tony is petty minded enough that he would love to have Shane over there JUST because that action itself would be spiteful towards WWE and Vince also as something HE and only HE alone would consider a bragging right.
