I was waiting for Walgreens to show up. As someone who worked there it boggled me how we could sell cigarettes and dispense medications. Let me just say I hated Walgreens at least when it was a Rite Aid we had some respect from the higher ups. At least when I was at Walgreens got treated like less than human.

I am friends with a former head pharmacist that worked at Rite-Aid. When Walgreens took over, the store manager became overall manager, including the pharmacy. That didn't work well and she ended up quitting and moving to a new pharmacy, making less money.

@@living2ndchildhood347 yeah. I would hear all the time. “What happened you all used to have no problems and now every once in a while I have an issue!” I’d always say sir/ma’am I apologize and unfortunately we no longer have an amazing computer system that won’t break down constantly or a help desk that is actually useful for issues. I could write a book on how bad the transition was and 2 years since we converted have been nothing but a hassle to say the least. Thank goodness for hospital pharmacy I’m a lot happier.

Walgreens used to be good. When they got bought by Boots it went downhill. Store Managers used to make a lot of money, but now they got rid of all those and hire cheap store managers with major benefit cuts. I was there for 12 years and it only kept getting worse.

Hilarious! I remember going to Wal-Mart as a youth and loving it. Now I have to be dragged in. Had to go with friends recently and it made me think of, the opposite of Disney land. No body is smiling, especially the kids. The "characters" you see there, you want to avoid. At Disney, everything is made to look real even when it's fake. At Wal-Mart, even the real stuff looks fake. And no one is impressed by Wal-Mart animatronics (the practically mandatory self checkout).
@aprilbundy4395 Жыл бұрын
I’ve had my credit card skimmed and checking account emptied twice from making the mistake of using Walmart self checkout- two different Walmarts in two different states. I don’t, won’t do self checkout there even if it means waiting in line for an hour for a human. Also don’t use self checkout anywhere for this same reason as well as, be aware that big corporations are trying to scam back their inventory “shrinkage” by trying to match item discrepancies back to customers by reviewing tapes and transactions at self checkout lines specifically and then filing police reports way later on customers for allegedly shoplifting possibly mis-scanned items. If YOU scan it, they can try to claim you took it; if THEY scan it for you, they can’t claim later you stole it. Also, self checkout kills cashiering jobs for people who need jobs without much experience needed. Insist on real live humans everywhere you can.

Yep... target is getting to be as bad as wall marts, my aunt works in the women's clothing department and she has some funny stories, one time she found a woman (not some perverted man) LICKING bras, she also found an elderly woman who was shitting on the floor... and a few weeks later she caught the same elderly woman shitting on a different part of the women's clothing department... my mom was a nurse for 27 years, one of the "regulars" at the "hospital" was bat shit crazy from meth, one time he decided to take a shit... IN THE ELEVATOR... it has a whole 3 floors and a 90 second ride from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor... he still "had to shit",.

even here in Minnesota, Target's home turf, most Target stores only have one or two people at a time waiting on a drive up pickup, in my experience. except for the one in my hometown, which usually has closer to 20 cars at peak times and usually has 5 waiting at any given time, because apparently the convenience of not having to corral the kids out of the car for the Target run was worth it.

The normal places to find people sleeping at Walmart is in the upper tiers of the toilet paper boxes and the far reaches of the gardening section. I worked at one for a while. Employees usually hid back in the inventory area, once again the toilet paper carton area was popular.
