Very tastefully done, the car looks very light and nimble. Glad you didn't turn it into a widebody.

Timeless classic and even looks fast standing still. Glad it ain't in a museum somewhere, cars are meant to be driven, not just statically admired.

It really does! Dave just got done taking it on a road tour so no worries about that! Thanks!

There are many other supercars out there. There are faster ones, better-handling ones, ones with sleeker and/or more voluptuous lines, more luxurious ones, more modern ones. Yet somehow, no car has ever topped the original 1971-2 Pantera for sheer supercar appeal. The lines are simple yet stunning, aggressive without being ridiculous, not “hunkered down” like the later Panteras. Glad to see so many folks caring for these cars and enjoying them.

When I went looking for my Pantera about 30 years ago, I only wanted an early narrow bodied car. I really did not and still don't like the wide bodies, flared fender GT5, GT5S cars. The svelte original design by Tom Tjaarda was just about perfect and still looks contemporary 53 years later. When I go to car shows every Sunday all around the Los Angeles area, it still garners a lot of admirers even amongst the newer Lambos, Ferraris, etc. When I modified and restored mine about 8 years ago, the body was left stock, the engine was built to about 500hp, and the interior was completely done in leather with C4 Corvette seats and a leather dash. (the original 2 pod dash). I felt the exterior couldn't have been improved although we did go to 17" Campy clones so that I could both upgrade the brakes and get tires which were nearly impossible to get for the original 15" wheels.
