In my opinion Taiwan should have more control on it's relation with China and keep it's diplomatic channels open and don't follow its allies' view to this issue carelessly. I'm not supporting Putin and his gang but a responsible politician firstly should prioritize well being of own people and wealth of country. If China attack Taiwan either lose or win the ensuing war, Formosa will be destroyed. It has not even a tenth capacity of Ukraine to absorb the damage.
