this is the song that plays while chara enjoys the life post-pacifist run that frisk would've had if they hadn't done a genocide run beforehand like i feel like they abandoned the whole "kill everyone" idea when they saw how awesome their life was now. i mean, they have a body! they can TASTE BUTTERSCOTCH PIE AGAIN! they have toriel doting over them again! i think that'd at least make chara hesitate, assuming they were planning to take the post-pacifist ending away by murdering everyone (i stole this idea from a neat soulless pacifist fanfic where chara talks with sans after deciding not to kill everyone after eating butterscotch pie again)

I really like this cover, it feels like it fits as a theme for the True Lab. You’re exploring this creepy strange setting, feeling you shouldn’t be here at all. But the determination inside of you keeps pushing you forward to discover what happened here and what Alphys has done to be so doubtful about herself. And I think the song having the iconic themes of His Theme and Once Upon a Time further emphasizes this feeling of approaching the final stretch of the underground world before you eventually have to face Asgore (pretending Toriel doesn’t eventually step in and prevents the fight from happening).
