Everyone hyper fixated on Mary Jane in the Spider-Man game because there is both legacy, and just-last-game precedent for her NOT looking like she has a jaw strong enough to crack diamonds, the developer himself talked about sneaking veggies into the dinner everyone's actually there for, and made a big deal out of giving Marry "The Jaw" Jane a great focus on the story (and even be OP by comparison) despite it not being well-received in the first game, because he's a massive simp for the message. No one cares about Miles' boyfriend.

Daily Reminder: The gunsword is more based off a side-sword which essentially is a midway between rapier & arming sword. Obviously it's beefier due to it being just a thing with these types of games to have chonky weapons at times.
