I seen this over the years as well dudes. I use to be a skinny duck at 110 pounds years ago, and at 120 now with some muscle definition and I get low-key hate when I go out in a tank top. @@joebloggs6922 Haha you should have seen the looks of my coworkers, most of them are 180+ pounds. They thought I was at least 140. Truth be told I used to be much lighter than 110 in high school. I want to say maybe it's because of my height? I'm 5'2 so I'm not very tall but it doesn't make sense to me because my sister is the same height as me and she is 160 pounds.

It’s even better than Mr. Rippetoe says - did a very small handful of months of NLP, put on no more than 10 or 15 useful pounds, and a coworker I hadn’t seen in six months triple-take me when we met in person and he finally just blurted out “you look bigger”. The changes happen quickly and they are noticed. 👍

A fun share. 49 years old. Went from 150lb, long bearded/haired, vegetarian, austere yogi (of 18 years) to 220lbs in 1.5 years doing the 4 basic lifts, one lift/day, working out 7 days/week on a 4-day rotation, and eating 250+g protein/day and close to 4kcals/day (omnivorously). Got hair/beard cut and just went to visit my mother and childhood friends (who haven't seen me in 2 years) and my own mom didn't recognize me (had to tell her I'm her son ~ *not because of senility, lol). Friends laughed out loud. Kinda cool. It's 100% true that society treats you differently when you're big and strong. Perhaps a no brainer but I can testify, it isn't subtle.
