Thanks so much for sharing the review. Your reviews have just the right amount of detail. Your reviews of art books are the ones I go to first because you give an honest view and your flip throughs are very useful to give an idea of what each book contains.

This looks like such a wonderful book. I wish I did better with sticking with a book and doing all the exercises. I get so distracted and just around from everything that is out there that I rarely complete anyone book.

I have seen this book recommended a few times while browsing Amazon, though with the limited preview on the site I wasn't sure if it was worth the money. Now it is going on my wishlist for sure, thank-you for another helpful review Teoh. :)

Thanks for the review! This ids the first time I've heard of this book, this is the kind of watercolor painting I do and there aren't that many books on how to use watercolor in a bold & bright way such as this one, I'll be getting a copy!

Wow that's exactly what I was looking for, not that I am bored with watercolor, but because I was wondering how to teach beginners . Thank you Teoh!

I liked your comment about how you can simply create just for the doing (rather than sweating the results). :-)

Using bleach into inks ( they have to be inks that will bleach though ie Parker pen ink works well ) is also really fun and very effective 😊 Thank you will look and see I think mum had that book too

The title of the book is deceiving - I thought it was going to be an alternative to watercolor-but it shows why watercolor is so popular especially with urban sketchers. It shows how versatile this medium is and the endless ways to use it. A great supplement to...
Thank you Teoh. Now I get it... the radish inspiration came from here.... 👍🏼

Did anyone else do this? Read the title of the video "if you are bored with watercolour Read This Book" then say to yourself "hmm... I wonder what the book is called?"

Thanks Teoh, I had to have that radish! I ordered the book you recommended yesterday and another book Amazon thought I might like too. I hope I did it right & you get a commission for all of them. I watch your videos so often you have earned it!

This is more of an ideas book than a technique book. For painting techniques, you can see the other books I've reviewed. www.parkablogs.com/content/instructional-and-reference-art-books
