Thank you Blair I feel really ugly, I’ve lost all of my confidence as my partner is quite mean to me. I’ve stopped caring about myself, feel like I deserve now. I used to really like myself and get nice comments about being pretty. I want to care about myself and feel pretty again. All these tips are things I used to do and made me feel good about myself. I’m a mum of three and a nurse, I care so much about everyone and believe they deserve to be loved but I don’t feel I deserve it anymore. Sometimes I don’t bother brushing my hair or getting shower because I don’t believe I deserve to look after myself. I need to try thank you your such an uplifting lady xxx

@helenarcher526 Helen, I was saddened after reading your comment. I'm so sorry you feel this way about yourself. Your life & mine are very similar. I'm a mom of 3, my kid's father really did a number on me & made me feel ugly & that if he didn't want me no one else ever would & I stopped taking care of myself & didn't do the things that made me happy about myself. So I understand!! My kid's dad was physically abusive so after almost 2 years I left him. I'm not telling you to do that!! I'm just saying that was my life. But what I do want to tell you is that your 3 kids love you dearly & think you are the most beautiful woman in the world!! You're a nurse so you take care of others. That is such an amazing thing you do. I really respect you for your profession AND taking care of 3 children on top of that. You are Wonder Woman!! I'm no expert but I have 4 pieces of advice. 1) try to get a little extra sleep at night. Even an extra hour. You prob aren't getting enough sleep because you have so much going on but if you are well rested, things don't seem so unsurmountable. 2) don't listen to your husband. Usually a person saying stuff like that to their partner just means that they are insecure. You are amazing & don't you believe otherwise! 3) be kind to yourself. Just do one nice thing for yourself each day. Take 5 minutes to yourself to drink a delicious flavored coffee. Put on a little makeup even if it's just lipgloss & mascara. When you catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror, smile at the beauty you see looking back at you. Wear a bit of perfume you enjoy. When someone compliments you on how nice you smell it will give your spirits a lift. Just one small thing will do wonders. 4) when your kids go to bed for the night spend just a couple minutes with them reading a story if they're young or if they're older, just talk a few minutes about the next day's activities/school/how proud you are of them for something awesome they did that day. Spending just a few quiet minutes with the people that love you unconditionally will be the sweetest ending to your day. I know things won't get better for you overnight but I def hope things start getting better for you soon. Please take care of yourself & be kind to yourself. You're an awesome person

@@helenarcher526 thank you for writing those kind words about me. It took me a while to get back to myself but in all honesty, it was my kids that did the majority. They're the reason my heart still beats because at one point I wondered why I even went on every day. But our children are the reason we carry on. I truly meant what I said. Being a mom to 3 kids is a never ending job AND you're a nurse on top of that.. you rock for real!! I'm glad your kids tell you that you're a good mom... Believe them. I wish the very best for you. You've got this!!

i remember like 5 years ago i was going through a ROUGH time, and you posted a tweet asking a question for a video you were making. i sent a reply and got a response from you, and even that cheered me up hugely. i know it sounds a bit parasocial and going too far with emotions towards strangers / content creators online is never a good thing, but for some people that is what is keeping them going. being kind and respectful to your audience and being grateful for them goes a long way for yourself AND for them, and small things can make the difference. so thank you blair, i really enjoyed the end of this video especially because it reminded me of how i used to feel when i was younger and how far i have already come.

Blair strikes me as the 'I shine, you shine' type of girl's girl, someome who wants to uplift others and see them do well. Hi blair, thanks for this. I appreciate the tips I've been called ugly since middle school. So I struggle with my appearance. But I want to get out of it and be better on the inside and out. I had confidence in high school because I did watch the OG youtubers in middle school and practiced saying I'm beautiful in the mirror. In college I had a toxic friend that would call me fat and ugly and the insecurities started again. And for a long time even after not hanging around him he's still in my head. But I'm tired of it!
