I totally agree, I catch my skin barrier getting hurt pretty early so it is not as bad as it was yours but it is damaged, I have literally stopped using any chemical/physical exfoliations, Vitamin C and have never used Retinol so phew saved there. I would also advice anyone reading my comment is to also avoid salicylic acid based cleansers. They are good but when your skin barrier is damaged, they would contribute more. Also use Ceramide and Centella based creams, they are super soothing.

Hi, I have the same problem! I completely destroyed my under eyes after applying retinol 1.0% and a few other skincare products. It's been already two weeks now and I'm applying moisturizer (cicaplast and toleriane from La Roche Posay) every single day, several times a day, but I cannot see any improvement. I'm literally freaking out 😰 How's your skin now? I hope it has been restored and that you can give me some advice 🙏

I damaged the skin barrier under my eyes when I found out (the painfully hard way) that I was allergic to the metallic paint on my eyelash curler. I've come a long way since then (9 months ago), but I'm still suffering from terrible dryness that seems to manifest itself anytime I wear makeup. Even with a 6 step hydrating moisturizing routine, I still have so many fine lines around my eyes and I'm not even 20 yet! Any recommendations for sensitive skin???

Omg, I constantly get red scaly skin around my armpits. Even if I stop using deodorant. Now I just use water with alum stone (very diluted) and then put Aveno baby eczema cream or if necessary balm. I keep it at bay for most of the times, but if it starts acting up I have to take antihistamines to calm it down. I switched up all kinds other routines, laundry detergent, flowy clothes, etc….but I fear it is a mild form of eczema.

Yup too much too soon. Destroyed my skin, thanks the Ordinary and K-beauty. So went from sensitive combination skin, to sensitive Rosacea fungal acne skin! Hard learned lesson: “you don’t need all that extra, and fancy crap that every skintuber tries to sell you, wether it’s a serum, toner or exfoliant”! Never had issues or acne prone skin. Now I have breakouts regularly and not just my face, but body too. If I could just turn back time,I’d stop buying more products everyone recommended on YouTune, and just stick to what I used before which was minimal: moisturizer, and face mist…
