On my previous 210 gallon mixed reef I had 3 of the older kessil model A360W-E Tuna Blue and they performed awesomely even with almost 24 inches of water to penetrate through I never needed 100% of the output capable from them. I will definitely be keeping my eyes on these newer models and hopefully get a chance to pick some up for my next build. Great vid guys and some cool tips for me to keep in mind for a project using them.

Mounting height is assumed that you have a 24" deep tank. What if you have a lagoon that is 16" deep?

I own 130x60x67 cm sps dominant reef tank with ATI Sunpower 8 T5 lighting system, and I considering adding to it, 3 Kessil A360x with goose necks. Will it fit together? Will the Kessil heads not fade on the Sunpower light because the will be hang on beneath?

My kessil a360x overheats. Have taken it apart, fixed/replaced the fan and its now past warranty. Now there's a sweet hole in my Kessel to hybrid where the led used to be. Thinking Radion, thoughts?

In terms of overall power, the XR15 is going to be pretty similar to the A360X. That said, the folks at Kessil are really reasonable and even if it's no longer under warranty, they may be able to repair it for you at a fraction of the price of a new light fixture.

No advantage at all. You can only use one or the other. If you have the wifi dongle and app on your phone already, no need for the spectral controller

If you go with the AP9X for that tank, you'll likely want to go with three of them and position them from front to back so that you can cover the 30" width of the tank.

You bet! One fixture will work for softies and LPS as long as you mount it high enough. If you have a center brace, however, you might be better off with two A360X fixtures instead so that you can space them over each half of the tank more evenly. If you're going SPS dominant, then you're likely going to want two AP9X fixtures instead.

A360X's do best with a max footprint of about 24" x 24", so for your setup, we'd suggest at least three of them. Especially if you want to keep a couple SPS corals.

Two AP9X lights will be great for that tank, especially if your goal is an SPS dominant setup. If you don't plan to keep SPS, then a pair of A360X's would be a better, and more cost effective, choice.

The controller is dogmeat. Don’t waste your time, Aesthetic and a timer. Not worth it keep it simple on a mechanical , ramp up and down doesn’t improve anything.

Kessil wifi app is udder garbage. I have not found an android phone that it will work on (x3). Would not buy the dongle until testing the app on your device first.
