🔥 storm Liked your comment .but you got to know Richard would had to have a staff to read all these comments. I enjoyed reading them because it’s its fun to read and it’s informative.

If you think you need a staff to go through a few hundred comments you’re just bad with your time honestly. Richard just doesn’t answer bc he’s getting his guaranteed money & doesn’t have to reply or cater to anyone anymore

Best Fishing channel on youtube !!

Mr. Richard, I subscribe to LOTS of KZbin fishing channels. Yours is by far my favorite. You always cover the Where, How and Why questions in depth, while keeping it uncomplicated. I love how you can explain the subtleties of your fishing methods, then cut to Elmo talking about Bersil eating boogers. Makes me laugh out loud every time! I think you’re crazy in the best possible way. Thanks for the great videos. God bless you and Mama Sue.

Yes, he’s awesome. I’ve got a channel myself. I just now I got a camera so I should start getting some videos up instead of the short video using my phone all the time.

Shoot I like me some drum. They are really good on the table too. Clean, flakey, white meat. If that rod is the Laguna, you might like the medium heavy spinning and ultralight versions also. I’ve had several and they are some of the best rods for the price point.

A few years ago, I went crappie fishing, and the 1-2 lb. blue cats were suspended in deep water, that made for a fun morning. The biggest I caught that day was in the 8lb. range.

A santee rig works great helps hook float slightly to stay off the bottom from getting snagged. I used a dropshot and a chunk of sunfish and caught a smallie. I used also a panther martin gold platted spinner and caught a tiny baby smallie in the shallow. There's 100s of baby smallies in the shallow. Sometimes I'll take the magic chicken liver dough and feed them. Every time I go I throw 3 chicken liver dough balls. I break them up to crumb size these baby smallies love chicken liver dough. It's real chicken liver ground up made into dough balls.

I don't know what it is about drum but I've had them die on me when I only had it out of the water a minute. It doesn't help to try and resuscitate them. They're different for sure. Richard, I know blue catfish are good to eat and, of course, channel cats. However, when I was fishing for eating catfish I always saw flatheads in my mind. We used to catch eating size up the French Broad River by Sevierville, Tennessee. Just above where the Little Pigeon River emptied in was a side-hole that was our flathead fish dinner supply house. I never saw a biggun but I saw a lot in the 15 pound range and smaller. the 6-8 pounders were what we went after. Course, I'm talking maybe once a year. lol

Thanks for all your videos Mr. Gene. I learn something new every episode. But did you know that the drum you caught have what a Louisiana friend I used to fish with told me that they have white sounding stones in their head? I found that out to be true. They are crescent moon shaped with jagged edges
