I talk to God and he gets me so empowered and helps me control my tongue! I know this demon within me is nearly done! I'm so close to being baptized because the holy spirit has touched me and I want MORE! It's shattered my ego of 28 years... fighting with someone didn't do it, not drug or drink, not my lust or other worldy desires ive been socially addicted too. Janice Battersbee God Bless you for telling the truth. The Holy Spirit is the Comforter! Yes, Man wants to replace the Holy Spirit with something else that they can feel. When I accepted Christ I was crying so hard I was not thinking about a feeling at that time. Did I wonder if I was different 2 or 3 hours after I said the words and believed in my heart? Yes. I did wonder if it changed the way I thought at that moment. But we are human and those thoughts are normal. What happens after you accept Christ and you keep on in that relationship, amazing things begin to happen. I was filled with something I don't know how to describe with words happened to me. Over time my whole way of thinking changed and made me aware that I was a wretched Sinner before God (Romans 7:24). Amen.

That is what enables you to speak in tongues. Speaking in tongues isnt something you necessarily learn, the Holy spirit guves ypu the feeling to do it so you do it in faith. A year ago i was always smoking weed. Weed was my god and i couldnt stop. I knew about the Lord because I grew up in a Christian household but I didn't actually get my life to the Lord but I was still convicted over smoking weed... every day for four years I said to myself. It was my last day smoking... one day I finally gave up trying to stop smoking and I told the Lord if he wanted me to stop smoking he was going to have to give me something better in return in order to motivate me. One day if I was driving in my car I had just got done smoking a joint and long story short God showed me Jesus's suffering... on all fours like an animal and people were ripping his beard out of his face and I could even hear the sounds of the hair being ripped out his face in my ears..it was crazy...i started screaming and crying and i begged God to let me serve him bkus i realized how great his suffering was for me.. Thats when i got the baptism of the Holy ghost. I tried praying in english but all that would come out was tongues! I prayed in tongues for like 2 hours straight..then i was soo tired from screaming and crying that i went to bed..

I’ll pray for you! I know how hard it is to quit, it’s been 17 yrs since I promised God that I wouldn’t pick another one up and I haven’t. One of the best things that I’ve ever done for myself through the power of Jesus. If you are fully sincere about quitting, I promise he will get you through it. I just lost my aunt to throat cancer and she lived 1 month after her diagnosis. It was so hard to watch and hear her say, “I’m so stupid, I really messed up.” 😔 She left behind 5 kids and they are so young and have to go through life without their mother. That could’ve been me but praise God he got me through. It could be you if you continue, so don’t gamble with your life and throw them away and never pick another up. God will get you through, in the mighty Savior’s name, Jesus!

Peace to you my friend. Careful when saying “NEVER”. Man is not perfect and we all have flaws. The only person who will NEVER let you down is Jesus Christ. Put no man before him and never put your faith in men, which your comment implies. Sure it’s not what you actually meant. I hope every knows you can have the Holy Ghost without speaking in tongues. Because this video makes it seem that tounges is the Holy Ghost when it isn’t, its a gift of the Holy Ghost, a gift meaning god gives it to you. So just because you don’t have one of the many gifts of the Holy Spirit , doesn’t mean you don’t possess the Holy Spirit. I believe that when you receive the Holy Spirit yes you receive power. But it is down to God which gifts he gives you. Not everyone speaks tongues the same way not everyone lays hands and heals and not everyone can prophesy. I don’t believe we are in charge to go out there and get the Holy Spirit. We surrender to Christ and he will fill us with his spirit and we grow day by day in the word and in his presence and the Holy Spirit will become more and more apparent as our flesh dies. To know the Holy Spirit more is not deny the flesh and let Jesus take the wheel in our lives. To know know Jesus is to know the father and to know Jesus is to know the Holy Spirit. Whether you speak in tounges or not you can be filled with the Holy Spirit. Just keep building your relationship with Jesus because he loves you immensely and he will unlock one you what he wants to unlock in his perfect timing. Just stay fixed in him and him alone. When you pray and you feel that sense of peace and comfort and like a burden has been lifted. Knowing that in faith, God has your back no matter what. That feeling of peace, what do you think that is... The Holy Spirit.. the comforter 🕊 Remember anything we do as man in our own power for example demanding from God to speak in tounges without our hearts fully surrendered to him, it’s like self righteousness, which is filthy rags to Christ. We must humble ourselves and ask god to bless us with the gifts if he sees fit, by his grace. Sometimes we are fearfully to ask for these gifts and sometimes especially if it’s a new thing to you, it can be confusing the the flesh element of us, which is why videos like this can HELP. So I started to pray to God in Jesus name to reveal me the truth and he showed me the trinity. Then I went and looked into the bible to see if you could find it there and you definitivly can. OMG!! Brother Marcus. Literally everything you just said is so true. I began speaking in tongues about 3 months ago and it happened exactly like you said! I didn’t ask for it specifically but the night before, I prayed and asked God to take me to the next level spirituality. Meaning “another level” in the Holy Spirit. I was really ready to know him closer. Whether it meant visions, dreams, whatever he wanted to do to make me drawer closer. The next night when I prayed I began to feel emotional and that urge cane from down inside and rose up to my mouth and somehow I knew what was about to happen. I opened my mouth and these words like a foreign language began to flow out. It didn’t scare me. I didn’t understand what I was saying but knew it was from God! I could stop anytime I wanted but I didn’t I let it flow out and it stopped on it’s own after a few minutes. I was so excited and happy! And yes it leaves you with such a euphoric feeling! I knew I had been given a gift that I cherish! Anyone can receive it if you are really ready to be closer to God. He knows if your heart is sincere. It’s wonderful !

My testimony about recieving the Holy Ghost came in 1985. I had been seeking this gift for about a year. Went to a meeting at a dirt floor building with planks for seats. The preacher starting preaching,and in the spirit I saw what looked like a angel come behind the preacher . When he made a alter call for prayer ,I stepped out to seek the gift. I did not expect what happened. In my spirit or in my mind's eye, I saw a portal open , a light appeared. Then a light within that light came down and the holy ghost entered my body. The Holy Ghost began speaking through me in a language that was so beautiful and I am seeing the holy ghost turning his head up through the light and pray back to the Father for me. It has been a testimony that I have not shared because it edified me. But it is definitely a separate gift from being born again,yet it is for all who will ask and seek. The power of love that raised Jesus from the Grave. We still have to walk out and occupy and I expieranced all kind of attacks after that visatation. There are 9 gifts of the spirit, and if you will believe God will allow all of those to work through us. But it's not by power, but by my spirit sayeth the Lord. God Bless

Why do people insist that the biblical "speaking in 'tongues'" means uttering incomprehensible gibberish rather than speaking in actual foreign languages. And why do people think the presence of the Holy Spirit is synonymous with tongues speaking whilst almost all holy spirit filled people in the Bible are not recorded doing as such? I have thought about your first point before but Romans 8:26-27 says, "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession [a]for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God." Groanings are wordless but produce a sound. Therefore, this is a Biblical point to emphasize the Spirit using 'incomprehensible gibberish' as a direct channel to the supernatural realm and to God, rather than to just pray what we feel lead to pray with our futile human thinking. Of course, we have access to the 'mind' of Christ. However, the Spirit ALWAYS prays according to the will of God, humans do not always pray according to the will of God. These 'groanings' of the Spirit fill in the gaps in the cracks of our prayers, so we can have the full potential of the power of the Holy Spirit in our prayers. - God bless!

Stop referring to the Holy Spirit as "it". He is a whole person. Please refer to Him as Him. That is the pronoun we use for the Spirit. When Jesus said He would come, He said "when He, the Spirit of Truth has come, He will guide you into all truth, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you". If Jesus referred to Him as He and not it, we should do no less.

I was raised Baptist so speaking in tongues was not really discussed or encouraged. So I only discussed this with a few ppl close to me. At 18 or right after my 19th birthday I spoke in tongues during a situation with a family member and saw a glimpse of an angel behind me (only part of the angel because of the height) as I was dealing with that family member. After that I did not speak in tongues until 18 yrs later, which is the current 2019, in July 2019 my sis in Christ who has a prayer line, she was praying against spiritual warfare speaking in tongues. Listening to the call I was lying prostrated on my living room floor and was definitely in agreement with her and I started speaking in tongues, I was amazed because at the beginning of the call while listening, I was like Lord it has been years since I have spoken in tongues! Since July , my uncle who is Apostolic asked me to come pray for him at his home, in my home, and car when I get to praying, I start speaking in tongues. On Halloween, I woke up to pray and I literally prayed in tongues the entire time. I am seeking God daily and I am grateful that in my 37 yrs of life my relationship with him is closer now than it has ever been!

The devil didn't want me to share this , I actually had to retype it because when I did the first time, I seem to have clicked a wrong key and lost the page, but we always persevere for the love of Christ so I had to re write everything. Christians underestimate the power they have through Christ, no wonder witches and demons deal with Christians so much and some Christians are even afraid of these things yet we have not been given a spirit of fear but of power and sound mind. let me put it this way, the gifts of the Spirit are distributed at three levels, faith, charisma and doma. at faith level every believer can function in any manifestation of the Holy Spirit from time to time as the Spirit wills.this is through faith in Christ upon receiving the power of the Holy Spirit. At charisma level, this is when a believer receives the gift, not just functioning in it at times but having the ability to turn it on and off as instructed by the Holy Spirit. At doma level, a believer doesn't only function in the gift or have the gift but has the office and can impart the gift or teach another believer how the can nurture the gift. At the doma level, you don't just see visions or have dreams from time to time(faith level), or have the gift of discernment(charisma level) but you are a seer(doma level). You don't just pray for healing or have the gift of healing but you are a healing evangelist. you don't just have prophetic visions sometimes or have the gift of prophecy but you are a prophet. All believers have the same Spirit from God, all of us, but only those who try their level best to live in obedience to the Holy Spirit will experience growth, because he is our teacher after all. The reason many Christians fail to see a manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit is that they already fail at faith level, how many times have you gone out of your way to pray for someone with a broken leg to receive healing believing that through you by the power of the Spirit of God in you God will be able to do it? Yes i'm not excluding myself here, I have failed b faith to carry out my duties as a believer although when I decide by faith to allow my prayer language to flow in church , that's when it developed because at first I would only experience a few words come out but now I have a FULL LANGUAGE WHICH i CAN TURN ON AND OFF ANYTIME, i'm even praying in tongues as I type this. take the education system for example, we all receive the same basic education hoping to becoming successful in life (faith level) then higher grades through college we we begin to specialize in particular fields and faculties ( charisma) When we graduate, we go on to become educators, teachers, professors and civil servants. (doma level) in short, a prophet is someone who can impart and teach the growth of the gift as guided by the Holy Spirit, he/she may as well have other gifts at charisma level and will function in ALL manifestations of the Holy Spirit at faith level as the Spirit allows, A believer with the gift can prophesy at will as instructed by the Holy Spirit at charisma level but is not necessarily a prophet at doma level , and may as well have other gifts at charisma level and the ability to function in ALL manifestations of the Spirit at Faith level. And then all believers will function in all manifestations of the Holy Spirit as we all receive the same Spirit with the same power, but we only function at this level by faith and as the Holy Spirit will allow us to, by faith we can all pray for someone's healing, it does not mean we all have the gift or that we are all healing evangelists, we can all have prophetic visions from time to time but it dose not mean we all have the gift or that w all prophets, we can all have revelatory visions and dreams, it does not mean we all have the gift of discernment or that we are all seers. All believers who are born again and have been baptized in the Holy Spirit have receive the same Spirit in Christ, we should have the same abilities although specialize in different ones as we are gifted by the Holy Spirit as the bible says in Mark 16:17, These signs shall follow them who believe they shall speak i new tongues and in my name shall they cast out devils and the shall lay they hands on the sick and the will be healed. i prayed for my back pain last night which has been giving me problems for a few years now and it just went away in Jesus's name, I decided to do this after watching the last reformation movie, my faith was just stirred up and decided to step out in faith, I'M LEARNING EVERYDAY TO LIVE BY FAITH, soon I want to also go out on the streets just praying for and with random people, help me Lord Jesus. I just got radically saved 3 months ago although I have been a born again christian for years, I have at some point been really close to God, even used to have incredible visions and revelations at the age of 16 but I lost touch, went back into the world, partying , drinking and even started smoking, but he saved me and this time it was for real, a real move of the Holy Spirit filled me up till I couldn't hold my tears back, and spoke in tongues, something I used to be skeptical about and didn't quite understand before. I experienced a thorough Holy Ghost cleansing, I had to even delete my IG and FB accounts for sometime and open new ones later on, deleted all my secular music and movies. When you are Truly saved you will know, there is just this feeling of renewal you can't explain, you just wan't to sing and dance for Jesus at the same time. He who's freed is free indeed in Christ Jesus.

Some people like myself. Knows God, I still smoke. I have never spoke in tongues and may never ever speak in tongues but I till you that the father of the universe and Jesus Christ lives in my soul . I have seen many people who speak in tongues but does not know how to love. We have all these testimonies of people that stopped smoking weed, stop drinking , and are saved without a doubt. How many people do each one bring to the Kingdom of God Where are all these saved speaking on Tongue Christians in this loveless land. The people of the church come into the world with this high degree of I’m better than anyone. Someone please say this isn’t truth? The same arguments and discussions that was talked about 2500 years ago, still goes on today. Who has these gifts & that gifts. Blah Blah Blah. Who has LOVE. I see pride in the church, I see arrogance, I see shame and blame in more than 100 churches I have experienced myself: People don’t know how to love the Demom, Hate the act. Love your enemies for Real For real. Hate the Deed: I rather have love. I rather know love and what source that comes from but I also would like These things that the true God blessed each one with. The source of the creator is Love. If we all collectively in unison focused on love. The Christ will return will a smile. Cause then he will say,I good and faithful servant.
