THIS is the best one yet! I also loved the one you recorded where you walked a lady through her plan with HELOC. This is gold! Let the nay sayers keep nay sayin. It’s probably better if less ppl know about this system so the government doesn’t take it away from us lol. Starting this program small, I’m going to do it with a portion of my income/debt & see how I do. Then I’ll throw the whole hog in.

If you have a zero percent offer with checks, make it out to yourself and THEN apply it to a high interest card, that's a way of paying a cc with another cc. Then move the remaining balance over to the velocity method.

QUESTION: How can the first month's payment be $1879 if the card is already maxed out at $5960 - how would they be able to add the $1040 of living expenses? From my understanding, they would only be able to pay $839 for the first month. Also, the initial balance wouldn't start at $5960 because of the transfer fees which means they would start off with a card that is over the credit limit ($6139). The 30% interest rate would be calculated using $6139 adding an additional $156.42 or so on the first bill for a total of $6295.42. Then the second month they still wouldn't have enough room to add $1040 of living expenses again. At this rate, they pay off the card around the same time. The only benefit would be cc points. What am I missing?
@BradDiBenedetto
@BradDiBenedetto 11 ай бұрын
Correct on all counts. At best this method could help them hold and make minimum payments on everything until they find a way to increase income. At worst, they run back up the cards they just paid off and end up even worse off. This is just playing musical chairs with your debt
@betitos11
@betitos11 10 ай бұрын
The card is maxed out so the $1879 is the amount they're paying into the card to have room to add the living expenses. That number is monthly expenses plus any cash flow you have on hand. So they pay that then through the month the living expenses are paid with card little by little
@jeniferbfly
@jeniferbfly 10 ай бұрын
The balance is $5960 Plus a credit card payment of $1879 which includes the 1040 would be deducted from the balance not added. You would make the payment immediately after receiving the cash advancement. $5960-$1879= $4081 That doesn’t max the card out. Even if you add the 3% to the $5960 the day after the cash advance; ideally you also made the payment that’s $178.80 so… 5960-1879=4081 + 178.80=$4259.80 even with the interest added to the high end there’s no way the credit card will be maxed out. You have to understand how credit cards work. You would make the “cash flow payment” immediately. Credit card companies take usually a day or two to add charges. So you shouldn’t be in a negative balance if you make a payment. Interest wouldn’t be added for another 15-25 days.

We just got a credit card for 0% interest for 20 months on transfers. We got a $6000 loan we only have about 4000 to transfer over. But that leaves us with our other credit card was $6300 once we transfer it over so that will be an empty card . And now I thought I knew what I was doing and I just confused myself lol do I use the cash back card for expenses? I don’t know. The other thing is what I’m trying to do is I want to be able to pay off my car faster I owe 21,000 on it and we have a camper that is 9000 what to do what to do.

@spreadthetruthinlove2540
@spreadthetruthinlove2540 Жыл бұрын
This is only addressing the credit card payoff to gain that cashflow. During this time, minimum payments would be made toward loans. The person can pay more toward the loans after they have positive cashflow. Best to bring up the credit score by paying off the CC, then possibly get a PLOC or HELOC to take care of the loan payoff.

I receive income 1x per month usually close to the 1st and the CC statement closes mid month approx 15th-16th. Even with meal planning food would still need to be purchased/ So if I put everything on the CC on the 1st or 2nd when I receive it this covers the monthly pymt usually due by the 13th but from the 1st of the month til the midnight closing date of 15th-16th is a little over 2 weeks of needing to now charge expenses and bills.

@@CTahoe1I just started using this technique this month. What I did was leave cash for all expenses before the closing date of my debt tool in my checking this month and then parked the rest of the income on the card. So I'm covered, then Simultaneously called the bank or vendor to change the payment due date on all those payments to after my cc closing date for next month so it works out. This way now the card is low balance until it closes.

@@CTahoe1 request a due date change and it will most likely change the closing statement date. If you get paid the same day every month request the due date to be just after that date so you can put the large amount on at the end of the statement and then slowly add your expensese as they are due and that will help kep the average daily balance low

When you use a credit card as your LOC you have to divide the money into 3 categories. Cash expenses (stay in checking account): anything that can't be paid with a credit card or the fee to pay with a credit card is too high. Example car loan, mortgage, rent, student loan, personal loan and utilities with a high processing fee. Credit Expenses (get parked in the credit card): groceries, dining, gas, subscriptions and utilities with low processing fees. Cashflow: This is the money you have leftover after everything is paid. This also gets parked in the credit card. This helps lower your average daily balance, lowering the amount of interest you pay on the credit card. Hopefully this helped. Have a great day.

Hi Christy, Can you dedicate some time explaining monthly income/expenses that are never really set in stone? Both my wife and my income change month to month, and expenses throughout the year fluctuate depending on the time of year.

Then use an existing credit card. It will just a little bit longer. A maxed out credit card. Once you dump your income it covers the first payment. That frees up that funds

@@mygoodlife204 thank you I don’t have any credit cards. I haven’t had any revolving credit in over 10 years. I lost everything after my divorce, and have been extremely poor since and my credit has never recovered from the trouble my ex got us into, combined with having no money and poor choices, life has been a mess. It’s a very long story. I did start to get it together in the past few years and I just got a job with a much higher income and it is time to clean it up. I was just approved for a $1000 secured card. so I’m going to use that and see if that will at least spark the fire and lead to my ability to get some unsecured credit.

How can you pay those loans and credit cards with another credit card when you said you can’t use a credit card to pay them?? I’m confused.

You don't, the money for those payments is left in the chequeing account. Two different expenses are listed.

In her example, the loan balances were transferred to the new line of credit, thus eliminating the loans and their monthly fees.

You cannot use your expenses as income. Living expenses are just that, expenses... BILLS. She says the new income, after transferring balances is $839, then says 'let's add your living expenses of $1040 to that, for a new income of $1879'.

You put it into the credit card as a payment, and it sits there reducing the interest until it goes out again to pay the bills as they come due…

It’s a hard concept to figure out at first, but think about it this way you’re literally using your line of credit as your checking account so you’re taking all your money and transferring it into your credit card which satisfies your monthly payment. You’re also have to use your checking account to pay your living expenses but what you do is use the credit to pay for your living expenses. So you’re chunking down your balance, which also helps to lower debt to credit ratio. Which, then intern, helps to raise your credit score. You’re able to pay down your card faster because you’re not paying a minimum balance on a bunch of cards and paying a boatload of interest. Think of the credit card as your new checking account you’re simply just gonna transfer all your money over into the credit card, except for the payments that can’t be made with credit i.e. your mortgage or rent and car payments and certain kinds of loans.

Convenience/Access check. You usually ask or they'll ask if you want them. They charge between 3-5% of what you transfer. So it's convenience/ access check -> checking account -> pay off the loans/loc -> turning the credit card you did the transfer from your loc. Have a great day.
