Hey Christy, Why dont you talk about ERISA!??? ALOT of seniors and disabled people cant be compelled to repay their debts. Even taxes!!! In 1974, ERISA was enacted to protect almost ALL retirement and disability income from lawsuits and collection!!!

My bank calls it a sweep when a loc is connected with a checking...or if checking is linked to savings. It sweeps funds from one account to another automatically.

I would love to try this. All I can find on banks in Canada is that they have a line of credit/mortgage options. So I can get my whole mortgage into a heloc however I can only prepay up to 20% yearly. Is there a work around for this? I can have extra payments on my mortgage right now of 20% yearly. Would it be best to stay in the mortgage and use a PLOC to pay the 20% extra each year?

Im watching your videos we git a 54000 dollar home equity loan to build a shop ive asked the bank we got that with if they do plocs they do. So we have car payments cc reg living expenses. Our house is not worth much so i think a heloc is out. Im concerned with paying our bills i do everything auto draft. I would close our accounts with our other bank and move to the one that will give me the ploc. I understand most of it but if i take the ploc and pay a chunk on the home and put my monthly income in like normal is that what i pay the bills with?

It's not that it's better but different. A 0% CC balance transfer wins on interest, but loses on it restrictive in the fact that you can't park your entire income. PLOC and HELOC lose on interest charge, but win with the flexibility of being able to place entire income in the LOC. Have a great day.

What should your credit score need to be to apply for Ploc?

as the bank you're going to apply with. all banks have different standards set by the government regarding credit approvals and denials, but they add their own on top. if you go with a sub prime lending bank then your credit and credit history can have flaws in it. if you go with a bank that doesn't take a lot of risk they will have more stricter rules on who they lend money to and your credit will basically need to be perfect.

680 . U.S. bank offers plocs also any credit union. My co-worker had a 720 cs but had just refinanced his vehicle and co-signed for his girlfriend s loan and was only approved for $1000. I got approved for 15k with a 740 cs. Hope this helps 😊

I would do VB with your biggest monthly payment card while improving your credit score and lowering credit utilization. Then apply for a ploc at a credit union when you have a 680 credit score. If approved the very next pay off all cards then deposit income into ploc. Hope this helps

Hi Christy, So I applied for a PLOC at my local credit union. Spoke to an agent about my personal loan application. I had to correct her that this is strictly to be a line of credit and she stated they're basically the same with some difference but I Informed her it's suppose to be a line of credit so I can consolidate. Next day (this afternoon) I got notified that I have been denied for my personal loan (even though i told her it needs to be corrected because i didnt apply for loan). 🤦‍♂️ I have an average 660 and denied. Will get letter as to why but my guess she let this go through as a loan vs. a line (maybe). So I will now have to make this work through by my CC instead, but now she made a hit on my credit score because of it but should not matter if I proceed with my CC. 🤷🏻‍♂️ What are your takes on this?

yes, you will need to do VB through your credit card. regardless, their policy on approving a personal loan or line will be the same, so you would have still been denied. now as to why you have to wait for the letter as to why you got denied is bullsh*t. the person that took your application should be able to tell you exactly why you got denied over the phone or in person, you don't have to wait for a letter. I'm assuming this person just didn't want to deal with you personally since he was not going to be making money of your application. when you get the letter with the reason why, verify that they actually processed a loan and not a line of credit application. if they processed the loan application, even though you told them you wanted a line of credit you should file a complaint. call them up and complain and then ask them for an address where you can send a letter as well so you can have a record or it and your last option will be filing a letter with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I myself wouldn't stop complaining until they remove the credit inquiry from my credit report since it was their mistake.

I personally only do velocity on my CC's. It just works out easier on my set up and I get away with only paying the transfer fee. Typically it's 3 or 5%. Either way, congrats on quickly adjusting your game plan despite the curve ball 🍻 Cheers!

I did vb for 2.5 months before applying for my ploc with a 740 credit score. I’m sure my score improved after doing vb for 2.5 months !
