What a fun video to watch with very helpful suggestions on choosing two tasks to get done first. Your walk with your dog through the woods/park looks calming and peaceful.

Hey Carl, they are cutting off the "next video you should watch". You point at the corner and youtube shoves a hodge podge of 12 videos on to the screen. HELP. I want to see what was next. This one rocked.

I loved your video and thank you very much for sharing this. But I have a question, how do we determine our must dos when working on bigger tasks that can't get done in a single day? Also should these must dos include chores or habits or its simply focused on work tasks and projects? Also how can we get rid of overwhelm and analysis paralysis when there are so many tasks to do, it seems impossible to get the important things done? Thank you
@Carl_Pullein Жыл бұрын
I would ask, how do you do bigger tasks? One bit at a time. I would rarely have a full day to work on a single task. Big tasks get broken down so they can be done in bite-sized chunks. That said, sometimes I will block a whole day to dedicate to a bigger task.

I always thought that Carl Pullein lived at home and produced movies and other important things related to time management and productivity. He's got a dog. And then? What? Who is the person with all these binders? When it comes to listening to your brain, remember that you need to listen to your new brain, not that loud old muscle that is ruining people's lives. Although it can be useful in the context of survival. But not every day is a fight for survival. Great new formula. Thanks for doing what you do.

Carl, great video. Once it becomes routine, no matter how busy or tired, you’ll just want to make sure you have the day mapped out, and make sure to use Time Sector. Carl, I know the advice you got from DA, and for sticking with what works, but like to hear your comments on Tick, Tick…I made the switch and although ToDoist was fine, this is just a tad better at a better price. It has given me all I looked for in one spot. Give it a review. All the best…

Ah, that's the important thing, building a routine. It works a treat.

Love your vids! Would you be willing to show a good way of using the TSS within Outlook tasks on windows desktop please - ie best way to set up using the time sector buckets of this week, next week etc. We have to use Microsoft 365 at work so would be really helpful! Thanks
@Carl_Pullein Жыл бұрын
Sadly, Jo, I don't have a Windows machine. However, you can set things up nicely in MS ToDo.

Well that wasn't hard at all. It IS the end of my day, so I had a look over ToDoist and have my two picked - which would have been the first couple of the day anyway, but now it's a plan. I think it helps that I've started doing the weekly planning (which doesn't take all that long either) and make sure I don't have any more days of 30+ tasks. I have it down to around 10-15 and I no longer get upset about what doesn't get done because those are low level 'if time permits' things.
@Carl_Pullein Жыл бұрын
It's all about the two things. Get those done and you've had a good day 🙂
