Mayim Bialik is an American actress, neuroscientist, author and film director. From 1991 to 1995, she played the title character of the NBC sitcom Blossom. Mayim later played neuroscientist Amy Farrah Fowler on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory from 2010 to 2019.

I love Mayim Bialik. I like her acting, her view on religion and all the work she does. She's smart and compassionate at the same time; a beautiful combination of brain and heart.

Hey there, Mayim! Great to hear your perspectives on life, health, and nutrition, and wellness. Like yourself, I too have experienced a few challenges in terms of occasional bouts of depression. That being said... I've always considered my emotional conditions the result of biology and genetic predisposition. I come from the classic Jewish background of overachievers and deep thinkers. Add to this a deep sensitivity, and you have a recipe for angst and a penchant for neurosis and obsessive behavior (not that I am judging myself... simply that my self-understanding leaves me with little delusion as to what makes me tick). I feel we have much in common, and am so happy that I discovered you on KZbin. Thank you for posting! ~Scott
