This is exactly where my 1 year old mega mat duo 10 is leaking!!!! 😠 😡 👿 I have only had this thing 1 year and I always deflate it before leaving camp. I spent so much $$$$ on this pad because it was supposed to be the best. Save your $$$ a buy a memory foam mattress topper for $60.00 from walmart.

Yep, my problem. Thanks for the video, fixing now. So why isn't this on Exped's channel? I was about to send mine in under warranty.

Thanks for the video. Have you end up fixed the issue? I have a Exped megamat and got the same issue with deflating valve.

Hello, this video states that only Seam Grip + WP is recommended for this repair, but the repair instructions with my Exped Megamat 10 state that the included Exped glue (a white 5 g tube labeled Exped Textile Glue / PU Adhesive) should be used to repair leaks near valves. My valve is leaking almost exactly like the example in the video, on top of the inflate valve. Can I use the Exped glue for this repair?

Thanks for the clarification question. While I no longer represent EXPED, I am an EXPED enthusiast and can share knowledge about the glue from my learned experiences. The EXPED textile glue is designed to have a quick dry time for in-field repairs. Each layer of glue dries in approximately 10-20 minutes. For this type of valve repair, the glue needs more time to soak into the area before it dries and cures, which is why Seam Grip+WP is the only thing recommended. Seam Grip+WP takes 6-8 hours to dry and cure, which allows significantly more time for the glue to soak into the area and create a proper seal.
