I did this exactly for about a month and a half, I was also alternate day fasting. I started at 141 lbs and dropped down to 123 lbs all while eating whatever I wanted. (I also did a little more exercise on the side just to help with toning arms, stomach and butt, nothing too extreme.)

If you don’t mind me asking how many reps and weights was you using to tone up? I’m just curious as I’m trying to do the same as well

@@mariah2349 I have a large 20lb cushioned bar that I would use to do squats, hip thrusts, leg raises..etc. and without the bar I would do donkey kicks, reverse crunches, planking. Idk how to describe the arms or what it is called though, holding my arms out making circles then flaps then up and downs..etc. also used the weight bar for my arms too for lifting both curls and straight up like a weight bench. Also, I usually didn't do a certain amount of reps of any of it. I just did as many as I could and then pushed 10 more past the burn after it got hard.🤷🏻‍♀️ The results were great for me but I need to get back to it because I lost it. I gained a few pounds back and lost the definition but that's because I quit. The alternate day fasting and hour a day on the treadmill did a lot for weightloss. I was fasting 36 hours then giving myself a 12 hour eat window then repeat for a month or so. I don't recommend it for everyone, it is great for autophagy though and dropping weight fast. If you do attempt it you can have water on the fast. No calories. Plain water. Tea or coffee is okay too but only plain, no sugar, no cream..etc. plain. So I stick to just water. Also it is much easier to start fasting if you gradually eat less each day before you start that way it isn't such a big change when you stop eating for 36 hours. Also, big tip, don't even try if you are addicted to caffeine. The migraines suck ! Kick the addiction first.

@NoraSalas
@NoraSalas 7 ай бұрын
I’m a beginner too. I know it’s a ‘tiktok challenge’ to do for 30 days, but I would like to do this longterm and want to be safe while doing it. I’ve watched quite a few videos that say start at the 3mph speed and the incline you are comfortable with, slowly see if you can increase the incline during the workout, and it is okay if you hold on to the trailing for 30% of the workout. Right now I’m at a 4.5 incline, started at a 3 incline a week ago and having been moving up in .5 increments doing 3 mph the whole time. They also pointed out that some people that are shorter may need to start out at a lower mph bc their stride length is smaller. 12% incline is incredibly steep and 3mph is a very brisk walk, do not be discouraged bc active people struggle doing this. It seems like most people have to gradually build, just make sure to stretch before and after walking. Best of luck!

If you wanna burn fat and keep muscles... eat enough protein while in a caloric deficit. Make sure its a variety of protein sources or protein powder to cover all EAAs! Still do cardio though good for the heart, endurance, and burning more calories, which makes dieting easier / lets you eat a bit more. If walking isnt your thing, theres plenty other kinds of cardio too. STRONGLY suggested but not required!
