Parents who try to manipulate you and stimulate your mind with traditional narratives tryna keep you in a box and not reach your potential is a very unhealthy relationship imo. As a family it should all be revolving around love, support and encouragement. But in my case as someone with aspiring music dreams, is seemed as if my brothers and my sister was the only folks around me who wanted to see me win. But for anyone else out there who has a dream and is struggling internally or externally - STAY UP! Don’t quit no matter what these folks do or say or whatever happens to you. Mfs gonna D-Ride, downplay, support, and say whatever for anything you do. Only YOU know what’s best for you + only YOU are the one that understands it more than anybody else. Stay solid!!!

my parents are not that supportive, however, sticking up for my standards and my grind changed their minds a little bit , and when they saw results they respected it, so to conclude it , i would say that they are going to be intimidated until they see actual results. keep up the good stuff jordan.

I agree that older people are bitter. I also agree with you saying that content creation is the safe bet! My dad does watch my videos but he doesn't have the patience to realize that it takes time to grow as a content creator. I went to college but im doing content creation because of the freedom and its fun for me and its something i enjoy doing and people believed im thriving more in it then anything i did in my major! A tik toker named Straw Hat Goofy said "grinding as a creator, but keep going its worth it"

I feel you bro. They don't understand because they didn't have this growing up. We KNOW that making money online is possible because we've seen it for our entire lives. This stuff is new to them. And as the saying goes: you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Keep pushing, and never let anyone's doubt deter you from helping the people who are waiting to find your content 🥂

I just intentionally rejected my application opportunity to go to internship after I have graduated at the university with a diploma . I lied to my parents and family members that my internship got delayed so that I can follow my dreams. I had to do it because my intuition was telling me to quit. I saw that it has no bright future for me. Now I’m monetised on KZbin channel after grinding for 5 months. Sometimes you have to do your things in secret and not let them know. They will see by results. ❤

I have two teenage sons. My biggest hope for them is that they don’t have to work a 9-5 office job for the rest of their lives. So me and my husband will support them with whatever idea they come up with. I wish my parents would have done that, but they don’t understand. Sometimes I talk with them about this, but they still don’t understand. They think they did a great job of leading their kids to 9-5 office jobs.

@@JordanGreenYT yeah that’s good, I know that for me, I can be avoidant around people who have been like the same and haven’t leveled up or changed. Like some people I know of from my school have been the same people since like 7th grade. I’m like the only one who strives to be different everyday by going to the gym consistently because I’m doing bodybuilding, skin care, working at a nursing home which pays above minimum wage etc. it’s very difficult for me to find people my age who practice the same habits as me and have that same level of ambition when it comes to going to the gym everyday, and it’s made me very frustrated because I’ve been lonely for the past years and it’s made me very upset and depressed as if my life isn’t going to get better. But I understand that loneliness is part of the process when it comes to building yourself up.
