Hey man, thanks for this great review. I already watched all of your videos with this rod and I was just impressed. My question is, do you know the difference between Carabus Extreme and Carabus Nano? Specifications look similar but handle a bit differently. Is there any other difference that you know? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the jdm daiwa ballistic if so how do you like it compared to the theroy. I have the theroy and steeze but my all-time favorite is the 15 luvias I have both the 2004 and 2500 series. Thanks again for the video.

I finally bought this rod mainly thanks to your 2-part review. There is not much about it on the Internet, but I found everything in these videos. I haven’t tested it yet since waters are too high or frozen where I live, but I can feel it is going to be fantastic with perch, chub and trout!

I have both Eradicator 67 super ultra and the 69 xtra ultralight version. Base on my experience of both rods, Victor i believe you will like the 69 version even better. Very sensitive.
@ifishcatfish3 жыл бұрын
why would i like the other one better?
@captainrylenaviation293 жыл бұрын
@@ifishcatfish To me it is more sensitive than my 67 version. It took the fun factor of 67 version to even higher. Since i bought the 69 version, I have not use the 67 version. 7:21. I have several St. Croix rods and while I love the Legend Elite Panfish, I've gotta say I don't think it's very sensitive. This is especially true when comparing it to other St. Croix rods. I'm not sure why since it has a great blank and great guides, I just don't feel it.
@ifishcatfish3 жыл бұрын
i still feel every bluegill bite, but yes, not as pronounced as with these rods. It is some 20 grams heavier.. and that is most likely the main reason. but also the blank has more resin to make it more durable. Its a great rod the way it is though - i love mine
@TVslee3 жыл бұрын
I'm wondering if the Daiwa Regal LT would be a good match for this rod. From some angles, it looks like the purple from the Regal could work. But it's a little heavier than the Caldia. What do you think of the balance with a reel like the Regal or Legalis in 1000/2000 size?
@ifishcatfish3 жыл бұрын
This rod is 47 grams. Its a heresy to put a 200 gram reel, even though it will probably balance just fine, from what i have noticed. But you should spend money and get a lighter reel for maximum pleasure from this rod

It looks like a great rod for trout magnets. My lightest of UL rods has too much wobble for my liking but works great for trout magnets...it's a love/hate thing!

Can you talk about what type of fishing you do with each rod? (Casting vs jigging vs float fishing) Thank you!
@ifishcatfish3 жыл бұрын
I do float fishing with only one rod, and one rod only - the 8 foot daiwa Presso. I cast a trout magnet with Super Ultralight rods - this one or the other Abu, but any super ultra light would do. The lighter the power, the more the blank will compress during casting of 1 gram jig. And dropshotting I do with Ultra Light, or sometimes even Light power rods, depending on the weight of the sinker. I do not have designated drop shot rods yet, the way i have for casting trout magnets and float fishing..

What is a great reel fit for this rod? I have daiwa fuego 2000 which is my current best fit. The new ultegra 2500?
@ifishcatfish3 жыл бұрын
are you talking about colors? or just balance and performance? This rod is a little forward balanced (tip heavy) which I actually prefer because it makes the rod tolerant to heavier reels. I tried several reels from 150 to 190 grams and it felt great with all of them. The eradicator however does not like heavy reels. As far as colors... hard. Maybe the new daiwa caldia that you see in my videos? Fuego is probably not bad either, but this rod deserves a better reel than fuego.
