I was checking the analog version on the iflight website, since I’m not into DJI. In particular I wanted to see what camera was included, but there is zero spec on it! With all the option buttons on the page, the camera choice is a surprise? Care to review the analog version?

I agree - iFlight does make incredibly fun, well-built BNF. I think the Nazguls are the most fun -- and the Nazgul line is available in 4", 5" and 6" sizes (and a 10" frame with the Nazgul name, but it is not a BNF).

My first digital drone was an iFlight BNF Nazgul5HD, which was reasonably priced way back when I got it. I have nearly twenty drones now, including BNF and custom built and the old Nazgul5HD is still my favourite.

Soooo. Had had this bound up and working with the original betaflight version. However i want the safety of gps rescue. So i installed a gps and updated to betaflight 4.5 since the original version had a bug that didnt allow to set up gps. But now when i turn everything on. I get video from the air unit but no osd, and i cant use mu dji controller 3 anymore . I did store a backup in a text document but havent done anything with it. Dont know how to fix this now. :/

My first drone was the nazgal it was really good but due to the crappy battery life of my zorro it’s now Laying in the bottom of a massive lake but at least it has my hero 7 black for company 😢😢

Thank you, sir. Interesting frame and set-up. I'll probably keep building Source Ones, as I have made them very HDZ friendly. They seem to fly great and I've gotten used to them. [I don't hate DJI, I just prefer HDØ; and support Carl's work/contribution] I greatly appreciate you sharing the BLHeli-32 news coming down the pike and will be better prepared for the future of Quadcopter products. I came from fixed and really love the new birds/flying things. Appreciate all of your content and I'm still very interested in 3D Printing. Curiosity driven. Thanks for the footage, Ian. Blessings ✌

Proof folks don't need to spend the price of a 2nd hand runaround car to have loads of fpv fun. I've bought and sold loads of expensive digital quads after playing with them, including the 5" nazgul Evoque, chimera 7", roma f5 v2, apexes, babyhawks, cinelogs, moz 7, bob57, Bee35, and plenty of others. Yet I've still kept my trusty Skystars 5″ Limited Edition DIY F7, 55A ESC Drone Kit that cist £125.11 and I swapped the analogue for a caddx polar vista. For too much emphasis on the best drones, to be flown with mediocre skill nowadays (just like my flying..) . Even this is expensive because of the o3 unit. However, at least when it's crashed you can build the o3 into something else without losing too much sleep over the cost. Thanks for the video Ian.

Does this mean the RC link can only use 5,8ghz when using the DJI fpv controller? since it doesn't have the default dual band antenna of the O3 air unit. Will this mean worse performance?

Inwas planning to either buy a nazgul evoque or a flywoo explorer for my first fpv drone, but this one is tempting! BTW, between those two, do you think explorer can be as good as nazgul for polyvalent flights? Because i love the sub250g out of regulation :)

Great video! For $200 the Analog is a pretty great deal for a solid fpv drone that if like the nazgul5 is a durable design, and would nake a great first drone or even just more new drones to fly lol. Whats great about the iflight frames usually is that, if a motor arm does break theyre super quick to swap and used to be like $10 for a pair of them. So having gotten 6 arms total when i bought them and they fit front and rear for the X’s and front or rear for the DC/squashed X version here. Not sure what it’s considered.. So is this basically a Nazgul5 XL5 V5 frame underneath, for the new X version of this, or no? Can this frame in the X be bought separately to build onto? I like the O3 camera guard and ive had really good luck with my nazgul and other iflight drones too Also can you confirm if the frames between this new iflight drone are the same Analog vs O3/HD? Wondering about that for future upgrades to digital O3 later on.. Thanks!

I’m a Huge I-flight fan. But why does this 5” have a 10amp higher than average esc than the usual Nazgûl or Evoque. And fly noticeably more doggedly than any of the Half dozen blitz 45A Esc equipped quads I’ve owned previously?

On the other hand this was the easiest to configure gps rescue mode out of any drone I’ve ever owned. It was actually shipped with the specifically tailored parameters for gps rescue printed on card.

In the video, Ian mentioned there are three RX versions: None, ELRS and TBS. The None is set up to fly with the DJI remote controller 2, the other with a dedicated transmitter for that protocol. So you should be good. However, advanced answer, what I would do in your case would be to still get the ELRS version, which I bet can be setup to fly with the Controller 2 as well. This way I get an upgrade path to a better controller in the future. Again, this path needs a bit of advanced understanding but not THAT much.

I got this drone and the first thing I changed was the motor direction. I don't like them spinning in towards the middle of the drone. You get all sorts of rubbish into the electronics.

I purchased one of these in a no-receiver - analog - BNF and I have to say iFlight - as a company that gets great reviews.. pretty much sucks.. the instructions and literature for the flight controller and RX connections were very poor and in some cases flat wrong, they glued to the FC a 4 wire setup to the 6 pin UART2 header.. AND chose the non inverted pin. so useless for a SBUS receiver... and since its glued on.. not easy to fix.. so I contacted iFlight and asked why they don't include a 6 wire connector or, like I have seen with other iflight drone reviews, a bag with multiple wire sets for that header.. not only would they not send them, they insisted I go out and find and buy my own.. well if I wanted to do that I would have build the damn thing from scratch.. not paid the money for a BNF... if this was a beginner and did not know that SBUS had to go to the inverted pin.. and just followed iFlights incorrect wiring instructions using their included cable.. they would never get it to work.. I would have bought the O3 version but again, iFlight was marking it up way more than what you can get an O3 for, so I used my own RX.... First and definitely the LAST iFlight POS I spend my money on... when you have to spend your own cash instead of being given one for review.. details mater..
