Iggy is probably the most humble& genuine rock star ever. He’s a guy who’s blend in in any crowded bar and just hang out. Another Detroit legend. Every interview I’ve ever seen is amazing. He’s so intelligent and at ease with who he truly is.

He was underrated? He’s one of the most highly rated musicians of the last century. He’s credited with spawning a music genre that had mainstream impact worldwide (punk), stage diving, and critics and musicians alike highly rate him as well as being incredibly influential.

I had Mr. Osterberg for English in High School in the mid-seventies. The story at the time was that if you mentioned Iggy to him, then he would flunk you. I think this is sort of what Iggy was talking about when he said his Dad was squaring things with him. I don't think his Dad was on-board with his career as the Godfather of Punk.

For some reason I have loved Iggy ever since. He was rock n roll mayhem that became known as punk rock.We both survived Detroit in 60s and 70s and I feel akin to him...thanks for the memories and the music.
