The fact that James experienced so much anxiety and discomfort, even being the lead in the first place, just makes the role so much sweeter. You are truly seeing the turmoil going on in him when witnessing him be Tony soprano.

I do miss James Gandolfini as an actor and as a person. When his castmates said that James was very generous to other people, it reminded me what happened after 9/11 occurred. I remember some news footage that showed James on his bicycle asking the police if there was anything he could do to help. That showed me that James had a big heart for anyone in need. Thank you, James, for your kindness and love. Rest In Peace.

My sister worked on that show in the wardrobe department,,, right before she left to go on her honeymoon, they didn't have a lot of extra cash,, James stopped her in the hall and handed her an envelope with 50 one hundred dollar bills in it and a note that said "have a good time, Jim". He was very generous to people.

I loved him but he was HUGE at the time of his death. The weight he gained over the course of the series was astonishing. He was clearly a gourmand, not even mentioning his struggles with substance abuse. And he had become even bigger after the show. There’s no way in hell that was sustainable. It breaks my heart but he was not going to be 60 at that size.

Learning about JG's passing hit like a kick in the gut...every generation puts forward, at most, a handful of truly great actors who viscerally connect with their audience. He was one of them. And while we will always have his work to return to--cant help but wonder about all the great work he'll never do. A giant of a talent--literal and figurative. rip

@@claudetteholloway1126 it was quite fun indeed. It was on the night I was doing phone banking in Hackensack, and I had found out a few days prior that they were going to film in my part of the county. So I went to the spot where they were filming, and I was watching them and then we were told to go over to the other side of the street. It was at the citrus Café, I stood there, and I thought I wasn’t going to be on the Sopranos, when all of a sudden the producer, came over and asked me what is your name, I replied Christopher she said: Christopher tonight may be your lucky night. She took me over and the casting Director looked me up and down and said: OK he’ll do. So they asked me as I am a member of any acting groups like SAG or AFTRA, my reply was no no. They actually gave me a voucher to sign so I could be paid as an extra, they set me in one of the tables and chairs with two slices of pizza, one with pepperoni, the other with plain cheese and a glass of water, and they told me all you have to do is act like you’re in your own world and you look up and see what’s going on and then go back to eating your pizza, we did that, and as a result, I made $125 to buy myself pairs of shoes. I believe they have that scene on KZbin, and I will post the link when I give it to you.

Look what started happening in the entertainment world around the time he died. If he lived and he and Chase continued making other movies...they wouldve always been compared to Sopranos. So you just KNOW...there wouldve been pressure to get back on top again and make a full length feature movie out it. I dont care what Chase says. That ending was a pitch for a movie that wouldve ended the shows run on cable. Its just the way things work. Milk the cash cow til its dead.
