Madden 12 had a super fun team play mode where you could play up to 3v3 with any team you wanted to, and it worked pretty well and was super fun. They took it away after Madden 25, and while the past 2 Maddens have something similar with MUT Squads, it's inferior and not as fun. But running plays a mobile QB like Tim Tebow while the other 2 players are offensive linemen just pancaking people was a hilariously awesome strat.

I'm playing madden 15 for the PS3 and connected franchise, the menu and loading are a mess. Madden 15 gameplay is ok but I feel Madden 12 is a good overall package. I'm going back to madden 12. It would be great if another developer could make a football game to rival EA madden. If someone made a decent CFL or Arena Football game I would buy it.

This is true. I don't have M13, but I picked up 25 and 15 used for cheap, and damn, those games are worse in so many ways to 12. In 25, they made the ball carrier so powerful and effective, it's fun and all, but when you play online, you can no longer play good defense, since anyone with any player now runs like Barry Sanders and Adrian Peterson (the players who made up the covers of the game). In 15, they took out online team play (my favorite feature that allowed 3v3s online), so now only 1v1s remain. What makes it worse is they're probably going to add back online team play in 17, and it's going to be advertised as a new feature.

I have 2 say that a lot of peeps r right this by far is a better game, no repeated cutscenes or players that levitate. The crowd only cheers when the home team scores, celebrations, cheerleaders. If the menus are a let down then hop back into a game & all is well again. What happen stEAl cuz if its in the game, then it was in the game...I heard M15 gets the new beta engine from 13 n 25 its now at 2.0

This is a good step for EA and Madden. Big Improvement from last year and yes, still a lot of room to improve. But for me, New Engine (Physics, Graphics, Atmosphere, etc.), Mass Upgrade to Franchise and NFL Superstar and New/Life Like gameplay mechanics.

@oldschoolraptor Disagree. Sports games are different from fps. First person shooters are all about gameplay and there isn't too much you can do to diversify it. Sports themselves are so varied and interesting for different reasons so to draw every person who's a fan, a sports game should have good modes of gameplay that focus on every fan's favorite part of the game itself. No new modes essentially puts new fans out in the cold. Not that I can currently think of any new modes right now though.

@MarzetJunior I catch tip passes in Madden 12. The tackling animation is all new so that falling helplessly to the ground shit doesn't happen. I don't focus on the blocking in the game too much. But what do you want the blocking to be like? In Madden if you run up the middle the gaps close quick just like in real NFL.

I'm British, so I don't really follow American Football, but my friend picked up Madden NFL 11 the other day and, although I wasn't looking forward to playing the game, I loved it. (Probably because I kicked his ass at it), but I came here to check out the gameplay of 12, and I gotta say, I'm definitely picking this up before FIFA 12!

It's such a shame. I was never a 2K fan but at least when they were competing with Madden, EA was forced to put out quality work. No added game modes and a couple of slight tweaks is pure laziness.

@flyJordaz123 Preferably neither. Both games are too flawed and have alot of glitches and gameplay errors that affect the game in a huge way. They are not at all for big fans of the sport. But if you are absolutely set on getting one of the two, go with 2K12. NBA's Greatest and My Player modes are fun enough to keep you entertained.

I feel like Madden 12 is a step back from the last Madden I played, which was 2010. They completely removed the half time recap shows that Madden 10 had. Also, there is a lot of frame-rate stuttering during the player intros at the beginning of the game.

I take back all the bashing I did on this franchise based on this years game. I bought it and love that it is actually a better and smoother game. But the previous years were bad, finally and finally it became what it should have been long already

i've had this game less than a week and it froze up on me after just finishing the best first quarter i've ever had. i understand that a game is going to freeze up on me every once in a while but this early on? now i'm going to be paranoid every time i'm doing great is the game going to fuck me and make me replay a whole half or whole game? frankly the whole presentation was more lackluster than i expected. hiccups and glitches are all to common here.

There were so many double standards and it's a video I lost count not to mention that on the website the rating was higher than it was in da video review so my biggest complaint about madden is the fact that there is still no wide receiver strafe you cannot turn around and catch the ball and on all madden difficulty setting it is almost impossible to run the ball or defeat the computer

So this may be a stupid comment, but if I were in charge of the whole Madden game, I would make it my goal to get contracts with NBC, CBS, FOX Sports, and ESPN and actually make this a real football game. If its a MNF game its ESPN presentation, if its 8PM on a Sunday Night, its NBC presentation, if its a Bears game, FOX, and so on. I'm tired of no actual innovation from there points. Lets get halftime shows, highlight shows and the like. Hell i'd try to get even the pre game shows

Ive been sick of Madden for years but playing an updated roster on an outdated NFL2k5 that kept freezing on me wasn't cutting it... Madden knows they don't have the NFL exclusive rights for much longer. I really think this will be the best Madden to date... You want the best Madden experience, play on All-Pro and tweak the settings so your players never (or very rarely) fumble, drop balls, ect. ect.. I found this to be the best way to get a fun game out of Madden...

in madden 12 linebackers still jump very high to block passes which is totaly unrealistic linebackers rarely block passes i almost never see it in real life
